CL... thank you for the recipes and instructions for planting garlic. I tried a long time ago but had not clue about doing it right.

Most people who have trouble growing garlic just plant it at the wrong time of year. Garlic needs to be in the ground over the winter.

BTW - your quilt is gorgeous! I love that design and those colors are beautiful together.

First delivery was happily accepted. Two eggs from each of my pullets were in the carton. Thankfully, today was a 3-egg day, so I could fill the carton.

Robin - thanks again for the adorable cartons so my neighbors can enjoy some of our eggs and get to know and accept my girls better.
That's adorable!! What fantastic packaging!

Oh My! I DEFINITELY want to become one of your neighbors!!! I've never seen carton like that before, where can I buy them?
I also have 3 girls, but very rarely have extras, what's your secret?

Quote: I'm in COvington. It's east of Kent, off Hwy 18. I could easily come to Tacoma though, or somewhere in between!
Quote: Mine would either completely turn you off of 2 year olds or charm you the whole time. He's quite Jekyl and Hyde!! LOL He sure loved Dave though and called him Mr Deeve. He still talks about Mr Deeve and the piece of wood Dave gave him!

He's so cute. Unless he tries to kick my chickens. Then he gets a spanking.

Mr Deeve witnesses that part as well.

The first pip is so much fun :)

Long icky day today. Up at 5 - out the door by 5:15. Blow by my office to pick up a few things, and then a road trip to Bellevue. Work there all day, fighting with the database guys in Dallas. On the road again to come home at 5 -- just got past the blast zone before the pass was closed for an hour while they set of charges.

Dang I'm tired.

LOL!!! So what chickies did you get at Monroe Farm & Feed???

Yes, I am downsizing larger/older/adult birds so that I can have more BABIES!!!!! LOL!!!

I hear ya about Friday's. Our school district has had 2 half day fridays each month for the last few years. Now it's EVERY friday, unless it's a short week. And this month, we have NO school this friday and another one in two weeks!!!! Crazy!!! But I am glad at least it's on Friday. I think Lake Washington does half day Wednesdays. That makes no sense to me at all!!!!
I got two "Amerucana's" (sp?) or what we all know are EE's, three RIR's and three sexlinks!

As far as school, you would think that the kids are already out of school enough through out the year with all the half days, no school days and so forth. But I guess not sense now they will be out 75 min early every Friday! I think it is stupid, but I am not a teacher so what do I know!

It was good to see ya today, but I hope you can make it on Friday so we actually have some time to chat and not just rush off.

Sounds like a really awful time! Glad you're home now and can relax or crash! That's a lot of driving. Do they pay your expenses for that kind of work travel?
