How about we donate for gift certificates in 10 or 20.00 increments and send it to one person (maybe Russ?) that can then buy the gift card for say Safeway and then deliver the the card and gift certificate to Micheal. Let me know if this works for anyone. (especially Russ) we could use PayPal to send the money or deposit it direct into a bank account.

Why can't I get my wife to think like me???? If I say its black I know she will say its white !!!

I just had a big scare. I was taking a nap and I heard my daughter outside yell "DAD there are two coyotes in the field and two of our chickens are missing! One of my leg horns was sitting on the top strand of electric fence which is a foot above my 5 ft fence. She wasn't getting schocked because she wasn't touching anything that was grounded. But my california white was missing!! We assumed that the coyotes had gotten her, but then I saw her fly out of the woods and back into the pasture. She came running towards me and let me pick her up...she was a little shaken. So now I am going to spend the rest of the day putting bird netting over my run so the chickens can't fly out. I'm not worried about the coyotes getting in due to my 4 strands of electric fence surrounding my run! It give off 7,000 Volts...OUCH! So won't be back on her til after dark!

So I found a shelter on Craigslist for the ducks and turkeys. I can pick it up tomorrow afternoon, I have myself and my husband, and the guy who is trying to get rid of it, but he said that it's extremely heavy, and suggests about 4 people. I guess it's 6X7X5 or so.

Is someone with a strong back and arms who lives around Snohomish/Everett/Lake Stevens not doing anything tomorrow afternoon between 3 and 5ish? I can't offer much in the way of compensation, but I'll buy you a case of beer..

Got the computer back up last night.

I am certainly willing to drop gift cert(s) off at Michael's house. I did try to call him but he wasn't home, and hasn't returned the call. I'm pretty busy with work Tuesday through Saturday, so I'll try to contact him this weekend.

we need to find out what store for the gift cards . I will give mine to KHHunter. whats the best way for Russ to give the Smiths the cards??? all at once? one a week? two a month? with one a week they will be gone in no time. They must be getting some help to eat. unemployment ?

when ya come over on Friday BRING your gun ! my Calif white and one of my leg horns flew out of the run and my daughter saw two coyotes in the pasture. found my leghorn (safe) right away but couldn't find my Cal. white .I thought she was a goner. she finally flew out of woods and ran back to the run

Did anyone take into consideration that I am going to donate an Eastern Wild Turkey For Michaels T-Day dinner?
If this about supporting people all winter long instead of just alittle help....... I dunno?
I'll give a bag of pellets and an Eastern but there has to be an end to handouts.
Just so everyone know that I work for the local 54 (Waterproofers and Roofers Union) and in the last 3 months I have 54 hrs.
Call it a jester of dignity but I would never ask of so....... much.

I see your point, I was originally thinking more for TG, but I am willing to give one gift card. I also am willing to buy feed for a few months to help out, but eventually he will have to do this on his own. I am a little suprised that he hasn't joined, but maybe he is embarassed? We all are aware that this can't go on forever, and I am planning on taking him up on some free labor on my 2nd coop run, when I build it. He did say he would be ready to help when I needed it.
