I like having a general fund for Washington,
with this we could get together every couple of months and swap or sell different things that some of us have that others need.
Hang out BBQ, if you thing about it we have a club that could rent a hall or a grange for a couple of days in different locations.
At that time we can meet each other our kids can play.
We could take votes on different aspects of the club and.............

I really do like the idea

A get together does sound like fun. I don't know about me bringing my kids. They have grown up and flown the coop, so to speak, but I have a granddaughter that will go anywhere with me.

I could bring eggs.

Just kidding. I make cinniman rolls and I grind my own wheat for the flour.

Ok, sound like we have a party in the making. I just wanted to clear the air a little, And then let it drop. I am sorry if a few on the thread weren't up to date on all that had gone on about Michael. And I am sorry that some of you got hurt by a few posts. I think we all need to make sure that our posts are as nice sounding as we can make them. Remember, we can't see facial expressions and hear tone of voice in our posts, so please be as careful in your wording as you can. It is also hard to know who is up to date and who is not. Please, if you haven'tbeen on in a day or two, go back 4-5 pages, or until you recognize a post or two and read forward. It may keep some misunderstandings from happening. I think we should all stick together, and help each other, not hurt each other, even unintentionally if we can manage it. I think a fund and maybe gatherings to swap stuff or whatever is a great idea. How do we do the bank thing? I will also look at my calender to see what dates will work in February, then let you all know and we can decide. Sundays are best for me because of kids sports, is that ok?

Well I think my last post here came across pretty harsh. That is not the way I intended it. I appologize for any hurt feelings. I think what you are doing is great and didn't mean to sound negitive about it.

Oh, by the way, if anyone is coming from a long distance, and had a camper or RV, we have LOTS of parking. And electriciy you can hook up to. I would offer to have peope stay IN my house, but we actually don't have a guest room. Big house, and no guest room,go figure, at least until the first one goes to college.

Have we decided where to have this party? I may have missed it. We are trying to get our addition done and I haven't had as much time to spend on BYC as I usually do.

I will tell my son-in-law about it. He is always up for a gathering. He is a member of BYC but I don't think he has discovered this thread yet. In fact, he is the one that got me started with my chickens (now he still has 4 and I have 54

). Then he got me started on BYC. In fact, years ago he was the one who got me started on computers (which I swore I did not need). I have such a good son-in-law.

Gah, I apologize for my post. It was way too small and had all the makings of coming across as sacrimonious (I thought that was a word, but my spell checker is tagging it?) I'm surprised anyone can understand me since I constantly have my foot planted squarely in my mouth. It makes walking difficult.

On to the party.

I have room for someone or a family if they are coming from further away. We have a finished basement that we use as a guest room.

I never know what to bring to potlucks, but I make interesting green salads that are often requested from me. I can also make a pretty good curry. Let me know.

As to a fund, I think it's a great idea that maybe we should discuss in person when we get together?
