Could I suggest that there be one person who keeps track of all of the places that have already been called. It could get pretty confusing, and often the people you call are volunteer workers who answer questions and calls during their 'off' time and we don't want to create a problem. Maybe we could start a list under random ramblings or something like that on BYC where we could store a list of those places called and eliminated. The person who starts the thread could edit the first post daily with any new locations and any info that pertains.... (ie - too costly, hard to find, booked...etc)

One thing we need to think about is how many people are coming includes family members. If 20 BYC members come and bring an average of 2 guests (spouse and one child) That equals 60 people. So the numbers could mount up fast with just a few last minute attendees. I think it is wise to err on the side of a larger rather than smaller place. Usually the number they quote is the fire limit. Comfortable for a party can mean cutting that number in half, or even thirds.

I can't wait to see my free chicks. My friend Paul picked them up from Kim today. He and his lady friend are going to play with them until Wednesday. Then I will finally get to see my new brood. Yippee!!!!!!!

Hi to all my Chicken loving friends in Washington, I am in Ferndale where I enjoy raising Serema chickens, also black/coppers. I also raise and sell chics and pullets year round as egg layers. Would surely enjoy hooking up for an annual meet and potluck where we can swap stories, eggs, chickens, whatever. What a great way to meet and greet new friends.

Ferndale is next to the last town on I-5 before you cross the Canadian Broader. It's just south of Blaine. Paraclete 2 has made this offer on the other thread that was just started "I ask cause as vice president of the Ferndale Senior center I can rent the hall for all day @$65.00 and the capacity is around two hundred persons." We could carpool up there if someone needed help with the travel. This is just another idea to consider. And a warm welcome to the thread Paraclete 2

I only have the one. Leilani Peepers (I didn't name her) is a California Goose who came to live with us along with her BFFs a couple years ago. A friend of mine was going thourgh a divorce and had to move. She brought me 3 geese and 3 ducks.

Mine have been going inside at night now for the past week with this extreme weather we have had.....

It's so much fun cleaning up after 16 geese and 6 ducks confined in a small space. We have been warming up a bit the last two days, into the 20's and teens here.

Do you have snow yet? It just started here around 7-8 tonight.

OK Just bugged. So now you have to go in each day and put any new places in the original post. You will be the only one who can edit that. This way a person only has to go to the original post (#1) on that thread to see which places have already been contacted. Just in case my head is still not making this clear. People will post any place they call or check on throughtout the day. Then you will go in and add them to the original post so everyone can just check the first post and not have to read the entire thread.

good morning. Up late again.

Not having a Rooster outside to crow is making me less on top of things. They were so mad this AM that all of the eggs (3) that I found were just at the door. I am going to have to figure out how to make them happy in there I think.
