and I thought I was accident prone!!! Girl you be careful!!

Oh the past two weeks have been hard on my body. lol a week ago I was mowed over by one of my clients horses, screwed up my wrist pretty bad. Was kicked by another clients horse, luckily just had a bruise from that, my husband lost his job, then I knock myself out. lmao My luck with injuries has just got to change for the better soon. I have SO much work to do around here, not to mention my 3 clients who count on me to care for their horses... I have gardens that need tending, fencing that needs to go up, a coop to update, a coop for the banam polish to build, an almost 2 year old to care for, two horses that still need to be worked, a third horse coming in next week, dogs that want attention, lots of lawn that HAS to be mowed before my house disapears, and all these sweet little chicks to care for. lol I cant allow myself to be laid up for uch longer. Thank goodness I have allot of family who are willing to help me out.

Nope didnt knock any sence into my head, just knocked it out completely for about 5 minutes. All I remember was pounding a post, then I was on the ground screaming for everyone to get the **** off of me... I really dont remember a whole lot, I'm not quite out of the woods yet, my vission is still kinda funky, equalibrium is WAY off, and I am SO tired.

I think I traumatised my poor husband...

lol That what I'm trying to do. If I do anything at all I think it will be cleaning my house. I thought about mowing my lawn, but that might not be a good idea, with my balence being way off. Don't want another ER trip today.

Thanks everyone your all wonderful!

yeah, marans roos are pretty quick to show themselves. I have at least one out there of the group of 1-month-olds... I know Mossyrock is kinda far to go, but if I have to rehome one, I'd rather it go to a BYCer so I know it's in good hands...

I might take you up on that!

Just PM or email me if you decide to do so and we'll set something up

I have a 2 1/2-month old and I just love him. His name is Smokey (he's blue...barely). Very tame and loves to be pet under his wings. When I go up to him to pet him, he spreads his wings barely so I can pet him. He's so cute

I gave up trying to do anything. I went out to see my babies in the brooder, and about fell over. So I took a nap, and now I'm not gonna do anything... I dont like having to sit still, but if I dont my head starts feeling funny. I feel like I'm just about worthless today. I walk like I'm drunk, and can hardly see straight. I think maby I should put some ice back on my head.

So Cheryl while you are not supposed to be making decisions and resting from your near death experience, Are you going to take the SLWydonette hens from Candace? I think that you should try to make the best of this situation and get all the chickens that you can out of this trauma.

Oh by the way, I am very sorry that you hurt yourself.

I think that you and a friend I have had since before the first grade have a lot in common. It sounds like really strange things can and will happen to you when you least expect them to.

Nyrial; you are so right about asking for forgiveness. I know what the answer is when I ask permission is NO! I think that since the answer is always NO, then why ask.

( and sometimes they have the nerve to think I am stupid) I often take the high road and tell DH that I needed to rescue the little beasties, that they were going to to be snake food, or terribly abused by small sociopaths in training. Oh and no one else can keep them as safe and well fed as I can today. He almost falls for that one every time. I think that after all these years that he should know by now that I am almost always right about things. Plus the nice thing about having pets is that you can always re-home them, take them to the pound or eat them if necessary. That is a big advantage over having children. On the other hand I would never have got to know the pride have having a munch-kin graduate from the UofW if I hadn't had her. I don't think that we will camp overnight. I am just to old and crabby to sleep without a really good mattress. But we are planning to come by after graduation ceremonies. As soon as we can dump the kid and grandparents we will head your way. It seems to be that has soon as you get rid of the kids, that you end up have to having to take care of the grandparents. I must say that I am really happy that my sister is going to take care of our parents. This way we might only end up with one set of parents.
So I can't make up my mind. Should I make Baklava again or do up a batch of Death by Chocolate Brownies. P.S. It helps to be over 21 to really appreciate them. And does anyone like fruit cake? I have a couple of drunk ones that are almost ready to sample. These fruit cakes bear no resemblance to commercially made fruit cakes. I have a sober fruit cake to but I think they are boring. I would like to think that I could make a lasagna, but with the way things are working for me I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm still have trouble making the sauce. I have been making the same sauce for nearly 35 years now, and the last 2 batches haven't turned out right. I don't know what I am doing different. I am beginning to think it is a communist plot against me. Maybe it is Barbie's friend Skipper or was it Midge trying to get their revenge on me. (PS that is a story from a lot pages back on this thread I think it was from about 10/09)
It's official I don't know what I will bring.

Why yes! I did speak with Candace about her two hens. And as soon as I am able to drive myself around, they will be coming to live with me... But Shhhh...... Dont tell my husband!

I do miss my SLW hens, they are beautiful birds.

I am so happy that you are going to get them. When Candace offered them to the group the other day, I was quick to say that I wanted them. They are very pretty birds, but when I read that you had lost your hens, and knew that you needed to get some more. I knew then that the girls needed to live at your house a lot more than mine. I really didn't need more hens, but I have a hard time saying no to a great deal. I think this was the way it was meant to be. You and Candace live a lot closer together than I am out here in the Claw.
I am going to go pick up a flock of finches tomorrow in Port Orchard. I am not sure what I am getting but they are free, and I got a very large flight cage yesterday. I found it off of craigslist. It is like new and is the one that I wanted. So my 3 little finches look lonely in it, and I can fix it by getting some finches that someone else doesn't want anymore.

P.S. DH doesn't know that I am going to get the finches yet. I am going to see how long it takes him to notice.
