Seems like everyone is thinning their flocks for the winter!

We had named her Lola and were sooooooooo sad when we heard him crowing this morning!!!! Now it is Mr. Lola. He looks a LOT like that Giant Black Cochin Chickelady posted up there from her fair!!!!

So my total for sale list is as follow:

(3) Blue Bantam Cochin cockerels approximately 5 months old
(1) Easter Egger/Ameraucana Hen, 2-3 yrs old, lays blue-green eggs
(1) Silver Polish Hen, 18 mo’s old
(1) Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Cockerel (dark blue or black coloring with single comb) 5 months old
(1) Golden Cuckoo Maran / Black Copper Maran Mixed Cockerel, 4 months old (Marans lay very dark eggs, breed this guy to green/blue egg layers to get olive colored eggs from the offspring)
(1) Giant (standard size) Black Cochin Cockerel, 5 months old, from an Exhibition Quality Line and a super sweety! Big doe eyes and gentle, we just have no ladies for him and no space for another breed to develop.
A Pair of Black Silkie Bantams, 6 months old, 1 pullet and 1 cockeral

Hi,

I"m new and live in Gig Harbor, WA.
I"m working on putting the finishing touches on the chicken coop and looking for a couple more chubby hens to keep my little group company! And a little bantam family too!
I have a HUGE light sussex rooster named "Fred", 2 barnevelder hens "Suzy Q" and "Peggy Sue". Then there is "Betty Lu" who I think is actually going to have to be named "Benny Lou" :-( I believe he/she/it is a dominique???

I am so glad that they have such a good friend in you. It is so hard to make decisions when a person is in shock. It sure helps to have a friend that can see things from a different perspective.

Thinking about teeter-totters while sleeping in the middle of the night is

Thinking about chickens while sleeping is rather odd, but it's chickens so

Having a mind that won't shut off while sleeping in the middle of the night.

Being able to sleep for 8 hours without thinking is priceless.


I am so tired. I may as well make bows for the wedding flowers.
