you are too kind. I don't have any good pix of the inside but the outside is here. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=223699&id=1208482768&l=662157c678
the floor you can see in the cat pic and it's a cement slab and heated by the geotherm coils under the driveway and the converter in the garage.
I love the in floor heat but as an only heat source it's a little slow when weather changes drastically. and if you lose power for several days... it takes time for that slab to heat back up. but in summer it's cool and in winter it's warm and it's pretty cheap.

WE need some photos of that spectacular grey horse, also...that is so beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of the same here. I'm also the culler, but then again I'm also the feeder, breeder, hatcher, seller, etc. But, for the rest of the family, what happens happens. I'm just not allowed to cull or sell something they love. Which, we usually agree on things anyway. I just point more out (Such as a hen or cock that doesn't fit to the Standard of Perfection)

Heck I even name my cull roosters. They're often VERY beautiful too, but, everyone dies at some point.

Skin them, rub with salt and borax, and use quilt pins in cardboard to stretch out the hide, skin side down on thisck cardboard and lay somewhere where vermin and flies will not want, and must be able to dry.
Fly tiers will pay for the rooster pelt, providing the hackle is mature, white is the premium as they can dye it to make fishing flies.

Sure... just know I don't pluck :} I just peel skin off since I don't eat the skin. every once in awhile I'll hand pluck but not often and mainly only when the bird is for roasting.
As you know I just started up with chickens again so last time I plucked was erm.. yikes 20 years ago?? oy I'm getting old

We skin our birds. It is a lot faster that way. I also figured out that I needed to de-bone most of the meat before freezing it. I still want to pluck a couple of birds, but that will wait until I find a turkey fryer. DH does the actual kill, and then we work together on the rest. I then get to do all the packing, and get it all into the freezer.
