My favorite critter is Guinea Pigs...I adore the wonderful little piggies ! In a cage in my room as a chicld/teen/adult (

) they would squeel when they heard me open the front door...they continued until I came right in to them, they knew I had goodies lettuce or carrots or an orange slice for them...

And yes I'm an ARBA member! If you show your rabbits and aren't an ARBA member then you can't get a GC certificate and/or register your rabbit. There's other things you can do with the membership

yes, I did all that, but enough is enough, and now I am going to try to show a few chickens...but you have different rabbits than I do.
I can still show mine at Fair..that is enough showing for me, like best buck, best doe and meat pen or pen of 3, and out here we have doe/bunnies but have to be 3 week old bunnies to show.

Your California bunny is pretty. Right now all we have is a generic "mutt" bunny. We have her as a pet and for fertilizer for my garden. We actually built a chicken-style run around the area where her cage is so that we can let her out to play. Today she was working on her tunnel to China. Little does she know that I go in and fill it in.

We have her hutch down low and use a board for her to climb in and out. As it gets dark, she is just like the chickens, she goes back in her hutch. I go in and lock it up. She has had a nice day of playing and now she is safe and locked up until the next time I let her out. It is actually fun to watch her running around doing the crazy bunny kicking in her run.

On a different note: I have all BR girls and one lone little Cochin that I was given. I let them out of the run to ravage the remains of my veggie garden, it is so funny to see that little Cochin (Hannah) fluff all up, wings out, head down, running her fluffy little butt off attacking one of the BR or doing the whole chicken happy dance. Neck feathers out, head bouncing, chest bumping. It is hilarious. Hannah can always hold her own against the BRs.

If I have anymore animals, it will be 2 weaner pigs.
And I will butcher them, and smoke the bacons...flanks and ribs, and make alot of fresh sausage with no MSG or nitrates !!!!!!!
And all the liver for liverwurst....YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
