I want those!!! They are so neat looking...of course, hubby won't let me (he says they are evil-looking and creepy!) LOL

However, if you end up with a pair and start breeding them--please keep me posted on them...I'd love to learn more about them and possibly breed them too, one day.

I think you dinner sounds wonderful.

I got Tyson from a lady back east (well, further east than me), she has a thread on BYC, "the adventures of Barbara".

I believe he is a BR and cochin cross. Isn't he pretty. He can be a snot when he wants to be, but he tries to keep all his BR girls in line. He is a good roo. I am not sure if that is his lineage...but I thought that was what she told me. He is Barbara's chick. She also sent me a pretty little Cochin hen with him, they came this spring.

Here is Hannah: She is so sweet. She is not as flashy, but she is so well mannered and such a lady. She can hold her own with all these giant BRs around her.

Never have seen these before...freaky lookin' birds. They look so prehistoric. Wow. DH loves thes.

Oh, and those are just young. . .

They get better with age. They'll get meaty, chesty, and REALLY scary looking eyes. . .

But, aside from serious aggression towards other breeds, they're like dogs towards people. And very rare.

I tend to love rare breeds with weird attributes, such as physical looks or egg color.

I would love to see an adult...thse are the funkiest birds I have ever seen. Sheesh. But again, they look so prehistoric....very dinosaurish.

Much to many owners surprise, but most Chihuahuas are closer to the 10lbs range than not. So are most Yorkies. These small dogs were bred from larger stock, and in the past years the demand for tiny dogs went through the roof with the Hollywood stars using them as accessories. I have found that most people either under estimate or over estimate their dogs weight. It seems to depend on the I want the smallest or the biggest dog. I first ran into the phenomenon when I found myself talking about my darling little puppy and I be told how their Rottweiler was 200lbs. I would would often say" wow you have a really big dog", and then pull out the picture of my emotionally delicate little puppy dog. I always seemed win the big dog contest at that point. He only weighs a 114lbs this week. I do know that there are bigger dogs than my sweet Puppy, but there are not that many.

The other possibility is min pin. But her color are wrong, but a cross would explain the long legs, and both breeds are rather popular. So would be more likely to be bred for profit, or live near one another, for a oops litter. I have done rescue with a larger long haired Chihuahua, so I know that they can be well in the 10lbs range. But if she is already 10lbs at 6 months, then I am going with the min pin and chi-chi cross. Pica's looks like she has the long legs of a min pin to me. Here is a link to the breed information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miniature_Pinscher

Man
that was way more words than necessary than I needed to the end statement. I have never liked to write, before I found BYC, and I don't think much faster than I can type, most of the time. So you are all stuck with my rambling on like I do. At least I know it, and I am admitting that I am being an unrepentant word rambler.

Dear God; Please don't let them throw me off of BYC this week.
