I printed out all the show info 'cuz, as you know, we were planning on going. Sooo direct from the site, here are their directions:

From the north:
- take second Centralia exit #81, mellen street. Turn left under the overpass and drive approx 6 blocks to the second stoplight.
- turn right on pearl street (one-way going south)
- cross over the viaduct and pearl street turns into gold street.
- Proceed south on gold street, and it turns into national avenue
- you will see the fairgrounds on the right side. Enter on the south gate entrance

From the south:
- take the third chehalis exit #79, chamber way. Turn right off the exit onto chamber way
- go to the second stoplight and turn left onto national avenue, which is a one-way street going north. National ave turns into kresky ave
- for the south entrance and south parking lot, turn left on exhibitor road.
- turn left at the next stop sign onto national ave. You will want to get into the right lane immediately for the fair office or the south parking lot.
- for the north parking lot, continue north on kresky ave and turn left on fair street, then left on gold street. The north parking lot will be on the right side

*sorry, I'm texting all this from my phone so excuse the lack of capitalized letters and abbreviations

I knew I could count on you and Illia !!

And I have also been very worried about JB for the past week or so there has not been so much as 1 iota of posts from her as if she vanished off the face of the planet Earth.
Hope she is OK, not hurt or in a depressed funk...And wanted her to know I miss her funny and intelligent posting.
Hope she shows up the show.

That was why I wanted to go Sunday !
I believe auctions end mid day on Sunday, door prizes and all auction items.

Well I emailed a gift certificate to Terra? for a Private Wine Tasting Party for up to 25 guests to be held at our shop in Tacoma (Vino Aquino). It's a $200 value. I told her she could either raffle it or auction it off. I hope she found the email and printed out the gift certificate. There was initially a gap in communication. If it's available, I hope one of you wins it! The private parties are pretty fun. I'm leaving shortly to work our Holiday Open House and Food Drive. Hope all attending have fun at the show!

I don't know what is up with my chickens this morning. Whenever I go to the run door, my big New Hampshire runs up to me, squats down, broadens her shoulders and wriggles her butt. I've been expecting her first egg for about a month now. She's 6 months old. (none of my three 6 monthers has laid an egg yet). When I walk away, she resumes being a normal chicken. I picked her up one time. She has never been an aggressive bird, always sweet, and was this time too until I set her back down. She and my RIR got into a viscious fight. I grabbed the RIR, who had in that 2 seconds, ripped the comb of the NH, and drew blood from her face. Both birds were flying at each other with beaks and feet. I got a 4 inch gash on my hand, not sure who inflicted it. I've seen the RIR aggressive in the past, but always just posturing, and maybe bumping someone with her chest. Not out for blood like the 2 are today.

Unlike the NH, my RIR usually does not like to be held, but she calmed down when I got her out of there. I took her inside and she sat calmly on my lap. One of my cats even came over, jumped on my lap too, and the 2 just sat there one on each knee for about 20 minutes! Then I went back out to the run, and the NH launched herself at the my RIR as soon as I opened the run, even though I was still holding her! She wants revenge for her bloodied face! I took the RIR back out. Every time I try and take her back to the run, she freaks out before I even get the door open, and the NH is there waiting to get revenge. Luckily we have a second tractor that was empty at the time, so I put the RIR in it. Then I grabbed on of my other hens and tossed her in there with my RIR, and they seem to be getting along just fine.

Should I keep the RIR and NH separate from now on? My 9 birds always appeared to get along just fine prior to this.
