I so spent to much money, lol. I bought a blue/ splash silkie pair from ultasol, 2 olive eggers from Chickielady (I got an oliveegg in the box when we were settling them in) and we ended up buying a quad of banty rhode island reds. My daughter is going to "practice" with them as they were extremely gentle and I could not keep her away from there cage. My daughter was the little girl with a pink/ purple streak in her hair. She met another girl who taught her how to groom a bird among other things. I also hopefully have my roos lined up for the spring.

It was a great day. I had a long conversation with one of the judges and learned alot about sops, etc., and I learned alot from Christina Korfus and Ultasol- both who have beautiful birds. I am addicted now, I want to show in the spring.

Hello all! Just settling down in front of the computer with a cup of tea! Haven't downloaded photo's yet, will do that in a few. It was soooooooo lovely to meet some of you people and put faces to names and see all the awesome birds! I'm glad we drove down. Even my girls enjoyed themselves. But two hours was enough for them. And it was a 2 hr drive down and 2 hr drive back. So a long day, but a good one all around!

We stopped at IKEA on the way home, bought some goodies and had dinner, got home and got DH to help build the goodies.

But even better, we bought a trio of bantam cochins from Sheryl Butler and I am soooooooooooo thrilled with them! I have to pick up my oldest DD at 10:00 from a b-day party and I cannot wait to show her! She has wanted to breed them forever, and we haven't had much luck with hatching them out ourselves. So we have a gorgeous black cockerel and one black pullet and one blue pullet. They have the biggest cushions I have ever seen on bantam cochins! I'm hoping our one black cochin pullet we hatched out oh 7 wks ago now will work in our breeding set up too. So far she's showing a lot of promise. Then I can start my F1's with my lavender cochin Cockerel who has been sitting around waiting to do business but I haven't had anyone good enough to pair him with. Then I'll let my oldest have them for awhile and try and grow our flock a little bit. We have a lovely mottled hen too and I'm anxious to pair her with the new guy in town. Very excited about all the possibilities!

OK, let me go play with the camera and see what I've got.

Not only that, but I made alot of moolah...as it should be !!
And had a LONG chat with Weavagarden...we shall see her tomorrow and then go to her Mom's to drop off the final 3 bags of feed....

I will tell ya one thing, Cindy is a wonderful informative person.....and I am soooooooooooooooooooooo glad I am home where there is only 50 roosters crowing

So good to see Tamara and her girls again...despite the one car only she made it !!!
Missed Monica, and DIY, I brought the incubator for Rainwolf...well, I will handle that myself !!

I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves at the show.
I ordered 2 BYC teeshirts and some bumperstickers. They came in todays mail. The teeshirts are really nice quality, well worth the $15-$17 they cost. Think I might order more.

I hope someone can find her, I am really worried...almost disturbed...Where is our Christina ???

Also wanted to add that Tailfeatherz was there showing and I do not know what all he had entered or what was the outcome but I believe he was one of a very few showing Ameraucanas.

And, I am on my monthly (wrong thought there !) trip up to Monroe in the next week, so any birdies wanted up there, PM me.
I am after Cayuga Ducks~~~
