My ducks aren't laying yet. I am just getting their hutches all set up to pair them off together.

Every web site had about the same shipping on a case (set) of the trays and a water bucket, hose, tray and 2 pads.

this is the golden flood plain I showed you yesterday, it is low tide now, but at high tide plus the storm surge plus the rain run off, this can fill up and lap over the road.

I just did some checking and Sure Hatch sells them for 39.99 and shipping is $18.75. Egg cartons.com is $41.95 and $13.23 for shipping.

Hey Robert, you do not think the eggs in the lower compartment would be adversly effected by the warmth of the roo's body ?
Got enough saw dust they should be cool enough.
I have a good idea for those who have eggs in the bator and /or new chicks under a heat lamp...in case of power outage bust open a handful of hand warmers (the kind that fit into gloves) stuff them (1 or 2 in each ) into a clean sock...or old soft mitten, and wrap that around the babies or on/ around eggs until you can get the generator going or until power comes back on, watch them though, they get hot.

Surehatch is exactly where I bought them, the trays $39.99
the bucket/water reserve kit $39.99
and shipping $39.19 shipping and handling...

$119.17 total

I looked at several sites, Stromberg's was outrageously expensive !
Almost double on most items.
Kemp's is OK...Surehatch is good, but on all the shipping and handling was so much about the same ...

LOL....it is so heavy and wet and it has warmed up outside and it is all trying to melt off. I have not heard the news so I am unsure what it is suppose to do in the next 24 hours. I will behave though.
