Dropping by to say hello.

Had a LOT of rain but nothing dangerously serious, and today hasn't been rainy. Got a gorgeous, really DARK egg today. I'm guessing it is from a Marans who's back from her break, as most of my Marans who are laying are getting to the last, pale notes of their cycle for the year.

Yay, I finally added an avatar and a signature. The horse in my Avatar is my Sarah bear aka Justa Cool Parte Girl. She is sold now but own her full sister Spring aka Obviouly a Te Party (APHA PAC#6 on the top ten halter list in only 4 shows when she was 2)and Sarahs Pali overo son Luke, aka Mighty Cool Hand Luke (he was born the year Paul Newman died) whos grandsire is Mighty Awesome. Sorry, Just had to brag! Was feeling naked without a pic and sig. The weather has slowed the landscaping down so finally have time to focus on a few other things.

Ultasol, I have a few egg trays already that are after market, and thanks for the hints to make the thing better.
Dad took the digital thermostat out of this 1500, he hated it...it was so touchy that just looking at it would send the temp soaring.
So he converted back to a wafer and swears it is absolutely a dream now.
I have had similar temp flux issues with other bators and their digital thermostats..in any event, it has no lower drawer so I will be using my commercial brooder...and the GQF I have has the clear acrylic door (whoopie!)
I also have Dad's ancient redwood incubator that has a hand turner in it.
I think I will install an auto turner in it, later, what with the holidays here, I can't spend any more moolah this month~~~Just sat down and wrote checks out to put in Christmas Cards for all 6 kids....have a arm/hand cramp now and sticker shock....sent DH to mail them quick before I change my mind !!!

We are taking a small spruce (prickly...keeps the cats out of the tree !) to my son in Monroe cuz they are inbetween moves and have no tree and are once again broke....

I wish I had talked to you first about the parts I ordered, but it is done now...next time I will chase you down !

I almost went after the LPN...I have my CNA...was going to do the "fly up program" (it is a good deal rather than duplicate classes!) but decided I am too old to go after yet a new career in order to pay the tuition....I just want to go assist at the vt's office....
I have some of the styrofoam too...my bators are indoors but still...I will take your word for it ! Thanks !
