Well my payday was the 15th, but I decided to pay all but one bill with my check. So other than comcast we are all caught up on bills, so the rest can go to daily living and gifts. BUT... This year we have all decided that we are not purchasing anything for adults other than our spouces. Under 18 only this year. I will never let one of the kids in my life have a bad holiday season, I had many bad holidays growing up. And if I can give the kids around me a better memory then gods willing I will do it.

We bought this house a little more than three years ago. About three weeks after we moved in, we had that huge rain storm. We watched the water fill up the backyard and creep towards the house. I was on crutches with a broken foot, so it's good thing it stopped raining before the water reached the stairs down to the finished basement. We talked to the city about what could be done to prevent it happening again. It turns out that the city has an easement to flood 77 feet of our backyard. The easement pretty much prevents us from doing anything down there. It also is likely to flood every three or four years. It did last week end. The sellers had said there were no easements and no flooding in their form 17. We're hoping for enough money to build a seawall to prevent the flood waters from getting too close to the house.

Aha ! We have the same sort of deal on our property in CA...I have a hard time looking at the lawnmower barn we live in, and remembering the outstanding property we have SITTING down there for sale...GRANITE COUNTERTOPS????? AND I AM STILL HERE HAULING WATER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.......

A bottle tree is usually a dead tree in the desert, there is a history. And the people hung a bottle on each limb, and in the wind, the tree will make whooooooooooooooo noises.
