Yeah. I am in Chelan County on the east side of the mountains. I live in Leavenworth. We have snow. Just a warning if there is just 1/2" of snowfall on the west side of the mountains all the people in the city freakout and can't drive in the snow and they have hardly any snow plows so the roads are 'bad'. (generally, not saying others here on BYC can't drive in the snow, just the general population of western wa.)

Where in Kitsap does your sister live? Are you looking to rent a house or apt? We live near Gig Harbor (Pierce Co) which can be pricey (lots of well off hoity toity)but for the regular folk there are apartments that rent for about $800 and up a mon. Out on the Key Peninsula which borders Kitsap you could probably find a house for around $1000-$1200. Don't know what Port Orchard is like as far as rent. Probably a little less than Gig Harbor and they have more small older houses in town that would probably rent for less. I don't know anything about whats farther north. Best thing would be to have your sister check. Good luck! Let us know when you get here.

I just know what i know from experience and from watching the news on tv.....

My sister is in Silverdale. I have been looking online for that area as well as Port Orchard. Most of the property managers don't want to deal with someone with a recent bankruptcy, and some of them I have read some really horrible things about anyway. I have found two apartment complexes that may be a possibility. I think my husband is just going to have to fly out in March and look to see what he can find. I am sure my sister will be a big help as well, and I will be talking with her soon about our moving.

Jbear - Thanks! yes they are tiny! the buttons are so hard to pickup since I fear harming them when they wiggle.

I'm sure one or 2 may escape some day... like on Tuesday... darn white quail rooster went on a fly about! chased him through 4 neighbor yards before finely catching the booger back in my yard. only way to find them is to listen for the darn crowing. 3 hrs standing around in the freezing weather was oh so much fun.

BTW,
I know this feels like the worse time in your life and you have a long journey ahead.
Yet, what the family thinks of your situation is not WHO YOU ARE
That doesn't define YOU!

Life HAPPENS!

If the truth be known about so called got it all together people if you were with them every minute of the day you'd find out they just like us all.
We've all made mistakes.
Some more then others but mistakes none the less.

I could write a book about mine.

That said remember this..............

It's not what you gather but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived

So go scatter your blessings on others.
We don't need material things in order to bless others.
We just need to listen when it's time to listen.
Hug when they need a hug.
Go pick them some wild flowers when they need to see God's beauty.
Sometimes we just need to tell them they are loved.
That can't be bought!
Only each one of us can give it.
