I had one AC officer tell me it was illegal for my rooster to crow... ever...
ermm say what??? so a dog can bark but my roo can't crow??
I researched all laws here in Seattle and found that as long as my rooster did not crow enough to create issues with the noise ordinance then all was fine. (Roosters are now Illeagle in Seattle due to new law just passed. My roo is "grandfathered in")
Well since my coop is not sound proof I just toss him into a large dog crate in the garage every night late.. then toss him out after 9am so he can make as much noise as he wants as long as its not a continuous issue. (meaning he does not crow nonstop for hours on end) Oh I really would get a long crower if I could... just to piss my obnoxious neighbor off
course I have that 1 neighbor that complains about my dogs barking even after they are dead and buried
She would insist that my dog was barking even when I was going to college in Idaho and had my dog with me...
She must have the worlds best ears cuz she can "tell" when its my dog barking not the neighbor next door dogs, or the other neighbors dogs or etc etc.. (every other home in this area has a dog)
Hell I can't even tell the barks between my neighbors dog and mine! they are both Kelpies!
