it is weird why things are going in threes....

Today one of our 2 regular egg buyers came and I told her that since the cost of feed had just gone up I may have to raise the price of eggs a bit. She said that is fine the price is no concern to us as long as we don't have to buy store eggs.

I did, and your gooey mess sounds yummy too. lol I think part of my problem was I added too much extra fudge. The top cooked great, but the bottom is like a oober gooey brownie. lol Just didn't set up.

where?

We got rain here.

edited because my brain is asleep.

We got about 6 inches today. Our Winterfest is this Saturday and we need all the snow we can get!

Those looking for chicks/eggs this spring, let me get my sales pitch in!

For large fowl:

I have Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. I have a small flock of splash birds, so the chicks/eggs will all hatch as splash also. I have mixed lines in my little flock including Lowell Barber, Bill Braden, and unknown. Have 2 more very young pullets, one being a Foley line bird. These are stunning birds and very docile. Pure Eye Candy!

I will have a few Lavender (Self-Blue) Ameraucana, I currently only have one pullet due to lay at any time. I also hope to have a few Olive Eggers as I plan to put my Black Copper/Golden Cuckoo cross hen in with the Ameraucanas.
By summer I'll have English Type Orpingtons in Black & Blue (from Julie/Bamachickens line) and Lavender (Self-Blue) from (Jodi/Hinkjc line). These are huge GORGEOUS birds! I CANNOT wait for these to start laying, but it will probably be May before they get there.

In Bantam:

I will have Black and Blue Cochins and Lavender Split chicks (which means chicks will be black but carry the lav gene so if bred together later you will get some pure Lavender birds).

I also have Crele Old English Game Bantams.

I have a BYC page for each of these breeds up. Just let me know if anyone want eggs or chicks! PM me anytime!

Oh, I also have a wish list. I think Cowgirlgrace is going to be able to help me get a couple blue/black BLRW. I only have splash, so want to get a few chicks in the darker colors. But if that doesn't pan out, and you can help me out there, let me know!

I would also love to get some Black Ameraucana pullets, preferrably from Jean Ribbeck's line to work into my Lavender Ameraucana project.

I may also be persuaded to get a few more dark egg layer pullets/chicks for the Olive Egger project. I really like the look of the Wheaten Marans, or Welsummers or Barnvelders would be fun too.

Ok, that is all! Nighty night folks!

PS: I am planning on attending the Cascade Poultry Show in Monroe on March 19th and would be happy to bring eggs/chicks if that works for folks just let me know.

Good Terrie you can have all the snow as far as I am concerned. We have none but you can have our share.
I like the change I see them trying to make to the site.

Just a little frustrating that I didn't see the warning and it has made it tough to be on here tonight.

Next try turning the temperature down 50 degrees or so maybe about ten minutes or so before the edges start to brown. Then double the time rest of the time. That should stop the browning edges and yet allow the cake to continue to cook all the way through. I hope that this makes sense.
