I am not sure how far from me CL is--I am leaving tomorrow after the kids get out of school... I will not have a lot of extra time to run around although I would be super happy to cart a chicken somewhere for you Teresa! Let me know!

CR--you will be glad to hear I DID NOT wish for snow. I am done with cold weather.. I want SPRING and SUN to get here!!!

Still way behind on my reading. I use paintshop pro to create and manipulate images but it is not free. You could try Googles Picasa or Googles picnik. I have not used picnik and I only use Picasa photo viewing.

Thank you! I love purple and this was a really fun pattern. There were so many ways to combine the square, so I asked my husband which he liked and he picked this pattern. Now I just have to get it sewn together, especially since I need the design board for another quilt.

Ewwwwwwwwww very pretty!!
These kinds of wall hangings are way cool too...as you can display the quilt, it is smaller and so faster, and you can change them per seasons and holidays, AND remember, you only have so many beds.
In my case, I have too many big quilts...so start doing several as gifts per year...and never see them again:hit

These were actually all queen or king size. The pics are on the design wall, mostly before they were completely assembled

I did a small a couple with intention of making it a wall hanging, but haven't found a place to really hang them yet. It was quite difficult and consuming to get the pieces all correct, but it was a good diversion from normal quilting --

Quilts are sew easy, just sew straight lines, pick out an easy pattern and learn.
Get a rotary cutter , and straight edge, a cutting 'board' and lots of scrap fabric.
It is also about as addicting as chickens !!
Maybe more so, hey maybe that is why I am so addicted to chickens, cuz my sewing machine has been packed away!!

I agree, quilting is very addicting! My favorite part is the piecing, love to see it come all together. Least favorite part is binding.

I'm working on a quilt for a friend of mine. She loved the first one I did for her. I enjoyed the Celtic pattern --

(Don't know WHY the uploading process turns my pictures on their side!)

Gorgeous! Boy, if I'd made those I wouldn't let EITHER of them go!

Thank you

I find that once I finish them I'm usually ready to move on to something else and done looking at them. But I love keeping the pictures and looking back at all of them.

I have been using something very similar .. I was just wondering, if maybe, that it wasn't working really. I thought maybe in my hatcher the humidity was too low, but if you guys are hatching between 50-60% then I am not--because that's where the hatcher stays consistantly... 60%. I keep my brinsea at about 38% for this go around. I ran it at 40-42% last time, there were a lot of late deaths, which I read might be due to high humidity. Hmmm experimenting experimenting.. I guess it's all in getting to know your incubator too isn't it? and where it is in the house? etc etc.

** I HAVE MORE SERAMA EGGS!!** Those fool hens are laying like crazy. I get at least 3 a day from Romeo's pen... anyone want to buy some?
