Have you contacted Sheryl Butler?
She's in Bothel

Thank you - is she a member here or do I need to look her up in the phone book?

Not a member here that I am aware of. I can't find my Northwest Breeders Directory at the moment, but I think she should be listed in the phone book.

You can't go wrong with Cochins from Sheryl! Does he want large fowl or bantams? I KNOW Sheryl has bantams, but I don't know how many large fowl she has. Another good breeder of large fowl Cochins is Heidi Hylkema (I think I spelled that right...)

I am anxiously waiting for our local feed store to get chicks in next month but bummed because they are not getting any Cochins. My son has been watching youtube vids of chickens and got his heart set on Cochins. We can only have 3 hens (yes, yes chicken Math - but I would at least like to attempt to follow the ordinace... for now ). I was planning on 2 BO's and his Cochin.

Is anyone aware of any Cochin breeders in Western WA (preferably North of Seattle)?

I have a bantam pair of cochins in blue and black. The hen just started laying again. I could hatch some chicks for you. My birds are from Sheryl Butler. PM me if you are interested!

You can see pics of my birds here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=22465-bantam-cochins

Quilts are sew easy, just sew straight lines, pick out an easy pattern and learn.
Get a rotary cutter , and straight edge, a cutting 'board' and lots of scrap fabric.
It is also about as addicting as chickens !!
Maybe more so, hey maybe that is why I am so addicted to chickens, cuz my sewing machine has been packed away!!

Zgoatlady- I feel for you and the slippery drive! I had to stay home from work today but I talked to several of my bus driver friends and it was a crazy morning for all!!!
Oh! And you will understand this one- They put a brand new sub driver on my route this afternoon and my snotty high school kids were horrible to her!! They ripped up one of the seats in the bus!

So I will be working my AM shift tomorrow and let me tell ya! Those kids are gonna get an earful!!!

There will be a sub driver on my PM route again tomorrow & those kids better not even breathe!!!!
