Wow I needed a pic of that. To see how the no climb worked.
I got the no dig part, but will redo it to use a tougher wire.
I am just still trying to figure out how to build my duckie run and put the house inside it.
I bought 1 x 2 wire from Monroe and it looks like I might have over done it. Should have gotten the 2 X 4 instead. Save some moola.
Thanks for the pics.

Illia IF dealing with the D is new to you and yer mom get some dibetes education. It will really help and you will be surprised the things that will affect it. one of the big things (from my little bit of knowledge) is CARBS. The better you control them the more under control things will be.

as far as I know, Jean will be there, and cloverleaf will be too.. hence there will be competition in Ameraucana.

I'm just bringing bantams though. But thanks for thinking of me!

Pretty amazing fencing set up you have there! I need to do a little more around the outer run. I have a small run that is predator resistant and that and the coop is locked up at night. But I may need the outer pasture/run to be a little better for digging animals, such as neighbors dogs and such. Hmmm...need to work on that.

It's not new to me in terms of what I know of it, how to control it, etc - It's new to me in terms of family members having it though. There are actually a couple things that can really help it, but one big, important one, is a raw diet. (uncooked greens, nuts, seeds, etc) - Really controls levels and allows the body to produce insulin again. We cannot possibly afford to eat like that yet, but I'm sure our garden will offer us all we need once it starts.

My DH is allergic to sugars and flour. So I know.
There are lots of nummy treats out there she can still enjoy and you need to get the right stevia. Some of that stuff is down right nasty. We get ours from Trader Joes. It comes in a small plastic container and you only need a snuff. Its called TJ's organic 100% stevia extract.
TJs also has ready to toast waffles that are gluten free.
Top it with cream cheese or PB and it is a treat in the morning.
Better yet, top it with home made whipped cream with a touch of stevia and a whole load of mangoes or blue berries.

Or smoked salmon cream cheese with some capers on top.

. . . Seriously though, I'm just bringing a blue, and not someone who I'd see winning much. Wish I would bring others, or someone else, but some of my Ameraucanas have some, umm, issues. My best black girl for one has a chunk of feathers up top of her head with the tips missing, which to the judges would appear as clipped, plus she's got a ruffled spot on her cushion that I just can't fix. I want pristine Ameraucanas, and to my luck, I've got a few who are just finishing up on their molt. Only a few.

Can't wait to show some Buffs next year though.
