We have Gus the Aussie/Lab/Chow? cross he...is a compromise doesn't herd but then again doesn't go after my chickens. Chicks though whole 'nother story. you know right after trying to give kisses they just stick to his tongue (complete speculation) but he does have much more interest in them and haven't bothered to find out how far he'd go.

When I penned up my little ducklings in a round pen, he use to "herd" them by running circles around the pen like a merry go round.
The ducks entertained him for a bit then figured out that Max can't get in.
I can almost hear them laughing.
Here is MAX.

And these were my ducklings last spring with my Chi.

We had a great time on the ski hill. My son has taken to snowboarding.. like a duck takes to water!

He made it all the way up the chair lift yesterday and is now my official ski buddy!

It is so fun to be able to do stuff like this with him, I love it.

He will hopefully be coming to the show with us (cindy.. hope you don't mind if he tags along... I think he is going to enter Big Bird)

He will be your substitute Rob ok? lol.

Heather--are you bringing your MF's?? If you are, I will bring mine.. if not, I will leave them home to continue their amorous ways. Marie is laying pretty well.

Tamara--did you get those eggs on Saturday?? I hope you did!!

ok--I am going to try to catch up on posts, but it is such a nice day out!!

I have 2 nasty little dogs that are 6 weeks old. They are very good at biting my toes.

DIBS. I want Dottie.

I usually wear socks anyway...

It is good to know that you made back home, and are alive. I don't know why I had to worry about you. I think it is the mom in me.

I would love for you to have Miss Dotty, but I really need the money from selling her. I am planning on breeding Miss Gabby again this summer. I hate to do back to back breedings, but I don't like to have puppies in the winter. It is a lot harder to house train them when I have to keep all the doors closed. Of course if this summer is like last summer, I would have to keep the doors closed any way.

At some point I really want to keep one of the girl puppies.

But so far every time I have a litter it seems like there is either Veterinary bills or dentist bill to pay.

Yes! I got them and they were so beautifully wrapped and gorgous! I turned on the incubator this morning and will pop them all in there tonight! Thanks so much Jen! Megan is very excited (as is her mom!)!!!

Where R u moving to in 14 weeks, in NE WA? Depending on the area, you could still have some snow.

We were hoping that the snow would be over.
Would that be snow on the ground or snow falling to the ground?

Depends on where you're looking....on the east side of the state, we'll get snow and freezing temps well into May. I can't plant my garden until a week or two after Memorial Day and even then, I have to cover my plants or risk them freezing. We have had snow in June before.

You have very cute pups and ducks.

Max looks like a very smart dog that needs a job to keep him out of trouble.

Do you have a picture of Gus? The best dog I ever had was a Chow mix. I love Chows. Of course I haven't ever had the misfortune of meeting a mean one yet.

Um, creepy. I hope that neighbor isn't sizzling anything on the barbie that's going to spatter on him.

Actually, he is quite creepy. Friend has told me many a story. and I am not joking...he is BBQing nude. Their porches are side-by-side...he is out there in all his glory.

Hopefully he gets the right weiners on the grill!

Is CL coming to Enumclaw?

Yes she is but just a pick up of FBCM eggs is all than she's off on her way, going to meet at Krains.

So close and no Banana. I would have loved to at least wave at her in person, and Krains Corner is so easy to get to. Oh well maybe next time.
