It was CL who posted the photos, but I have done it myself too. My DH had a big hole "bit" for his drill motor. It cuts a drill size hole in the middle then has a hole that it cuts at the same time. I don't know what to call it other than a "hole driller" for his drill motor.
"holesaw" is the implament that you fasten to the drill motor.
You can get them in verious sizes. 1"-6" and everything in between. Maybe even bigger?
I'd like to see a pix of one of these feeders, please if anyone has one uploaded.

here ya go:
Go higher and larger for a big rooster or single combed bird

Yeah me too! I would love to see photos again. I don't want to spend a whole day looking back in the posts for it. CL was that you who posted the pic? How high should I put the holes?
I posted the pics, and want to tell you to get s sharpie and mark the hole area, high and into the ribs on the bucket for big standard combed cock birds...then a 1/4" thick drill a hole on the line, then stick your jig saw or sawzall blade (use a metal blade not a wood blade) and cut it out.
You do not have to cut 2 holes, I do in a busy coop but 1 hole will work in a coop with 3 or 4 birds.
Clarence has a BIG head and comb and his bucket has the hole cut HIGH up into the ribs on the outside around the lip of the bucket.
Don't make the hole bigger LOWER or it will not hold enough feed.
Make the bottom of the hole 8 to 10 " from the bottom of the bucket, then draw the hole the size of the biggest bird's neck at about halfway to their shoulders..works great.

You never know what life brings. I never wanted kids as a teen and in my first marriage (college sweetheart). Suddenly around 3 years ago, a switch went off and I've been wanting one of those crying, pooping, eating, puking dead weights ever since. I would have never believed in a biological clock until it happened to me. 'Sure, I'll take one of those expensive, frustrating parasites, and, oh, I'll trade my body and part of my career'
