I was pretty sure you had said you weree going on the 10th but who am I to say. My own life sucks so who am I to say somebody is confuzzled.

I think I have figured out tthe reason I seem to not be seeing so well. I have cataracts in both eyes. Also today I found out through the grapevine that a good friend was on his way to Seattle he has Cancer. I am a little hurt that his DW didn't tell me but maybe she hasn't had time. He also just had heart surgery and I haven't been to the house but (Iknow this is no excuse ) but I have had issues of my own and the last time I talked to his DW she said he was home doing good and needed rest.

Just curious to the Methow reference in your name. From the Methow? I grew up in Twisp. Now in Omak.
Welcome to the group. It moves fast and there is a tremendous amount of worthwhile information from this very wonderful group.

oKAY, it is looking more and more like I will might get to come to the chicken show.

CL: Do you still have those ladies for me? If I come I will get to pick them up.

I have the day off of work. DH and I now need to decide if we come over Friday night after work or come early Saturday morning and spend Sat night. I am just fearful of the roads. If the weather was warmer we would just bring the camp trailer and stay in it. Almost have 3 kids figured out where they are going to be. Now to find critter care.

I almost have it worked out. If I had thought I was going to get to come I would have ordered a shirt.....bummer. Oh, well. I will at least recognize all of you.

I wonder if the thing about washing the egg is more about how much it is handled before it is put into incubation. After all there are members that have hatched eggs from Trader Joe's successfully.

It just occurred to me that someone that has a problem with where the egg comes from, must not have ever been truly hungry. I can't ever remember worrying about where the egg came from as a kid or a teenager. But then I was raised with a mother that grew a garden that was important to the family.

Unfortunately, my boys did not have to do much "farm" type work. I grew up on a farm...haying, raising our own pork, beef, and rabbit. Huge vegetable garden. Froze and canned tons of things. My kids have not had any of that and part of me is glad they did not have to....but I think they would appreciate things more if they had.

My oldes is 6'2" and 240" (I know this as we just got back from a wrestling tournament)....no he has never know what it was like to be hungry.

My 12 Y.O. is the same size! Yikes! I'm going broke feeding him. Sometimes I let him buy lunch at school, and it seems like every time I do, I need to put more $ in his lunch account. Today I asked him what he had for school lunch: "Oh, a Sloppy Joe, a bag of chips, fried chicken, and biscuits and gravy." Then he got home and polished off the leftover cornbread and chilli, 2 apples, spinach salad and 3 chicken & Cheese quesadillas!
