Jen might have some, but I don't know if she is coming to Monroe, she will be at Stevenson.

Last I heard she was coming, but I can't remember if she said she had whites, I know there were other colors she was bringing for sale...

Thanks! I know there were some last year that Majorie Best brought...but they were all pretty young and not yet sexed...

Welcome to the State thread. My family and I used to live down that way, in the Fern Prairie/Livingston Mountain area. I still miss that house a lot.

That must have just started! I have 7 hens and was getting at least 6 eggs a day and when I collect in the evening there is no one in the box. Both hens you were getting were in the box together when you got here. I just assumed they were laying. Hopefully the move will break her. When ever I get a broody hen I just throw her in a new pen. All they can think about is pacing the fence to get to their old pen. After about a week they forget all about being broody and get back to biz.

I have 3 silkies that take turns being broody. Ccg's method is the only one that I have found that works. The Silkies need more time in solitary than the other girls. I think that the Silkies have a stronger broody drive, than a lot of the other breeds of chickens. (Or at least the breeds that I have in my coop.)

wow I finally got to the end, thanks to Nifty & terrie for restoring our sanity !
I am glad I gave my donated raffle items to Tamara and now RedReiner has them..what time is coop in on Fri, all day, right ?

Hey did you get my email about the sebbies I sent yesterday? I wasn't sure it went through with all of the issues we had...

I remember responding to you this morning, can you check to see if you got it. I don't remember if it was a pm or an e-mail.

BCM is on my list for our little flock. How old are the ones you're cutting back on and when do they have to be gone? I'm asking because since the rain has stopped coop building for the moment I'll have to put the Pips&Peeps Ameraucanas I'm getting on Saturday in either our bunny cage or flight cage, so room is an issue until the big coop is finished. I'll only have room for one BCM. It is SO hard to limit myself but we have room for 6-8 birds!
Thank you,
Dana (aka Sadie Sue)

Edited to add: Huh. I meant for this to be a PM, but obviously wasn't thinking right. Good thing I have nothing to hide! I'm going to blame it on the time change today. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with me being over a particular age.
