I did see that yesterday while I was on for about 5-10 minutes. I'm so glad they heard from them finally. I can't emagine how Mikes wife, and Mike himself, for that matter, handled the week of not knowing...

We only have 4 dutch overs and 9 lodge skillets of different sizes and shapes, we are a long ways from having a full set.

Griswold's are the best and I have flat skillets, fryers, stew pots and dutch ovens.. I think I even have a full set still in box of dutch ovens... have not needed them in a long while.

My ex-husband threw out ALL of my great grandmas cast iron... It was the one and only thing that I had left of her...

Isn't that fun?

Okay, DD and I are considering getting into the showing aspect of chickens....note to self....might want to not consider white chickens (even though I love the ones that RFF has).

Might not want to consider giant fluffy ones either..... I just washed and dried my blue orp. never gave a chicken a bath before...holy smokes! my blow dryer almost melted down drying her off! Sadly I could not fix her tail feathers so I guess she will just go to show off her fluff lol

duely noted. Thank you. I can't wait to see all the breeds at the show. I knew an elderly gentleman who had white cochin bantams. They were gorgeous...but white and fluffy....need to go and look at them all.

lol I am kind of kidding, at least she was good for the bath and dry, she pretty much just stood there. but here is another tip...dont let her stand over the heat register while blow drying...she pooped down my heater vent....

Because of the mud, their foot feathering is trashed. aw well.

So cool to hear about the baby moving heather!! fun fun stuff.

And..

I LOVE my cast iron.. that and stone ware is all I ever use for baking and cooking. I have gathered a pretty good set over the years, and my mom left me her's that was her moms. Pretty cool, it lasts so long. Cheryl, I am sorry you lost yours, that would be heart breaking.

Yep... I was upset to say the least. I lost alot of very special items that were passed down to me, when I left. But I would rather be without those things, and be without him as well. My life is MUCH better without him, and I have started a new much better life.

That's just adolescence. They do outgrow it. I remember a cartoon once about how hard it is to let go of our children, but that nature has a way of preparing us by making them obnoxious.

That's what my Mom always said, but she must have been talking about my younger siblings because I was an angel. And my Dad used to say that teenagers were the reason some animals ate their young.
