Of course, I'd have to make crele cochins out of them!

And relatively affordable at $260.

Even MORE affordable if you find a breeding partner and split the chicks!

Personally, I'd rather have the crele orpingtons.

I saw those, too!

The crepe was beautiful. Lots of beautiful birds. I think I'll wait on those too.

Okay that was supposed to be Crele. Not crepe. Darn spell correction on the iPad. Although I'm sure crepe chicken is delicious.

That's only six eggs. If only half hatch, as is common with shipped eggs, you'd be lucky to get a pair. It would be useless to split your only pair.

Totally makes sense! Very helpful thanks! Guess I need to start looking for the right kind of roo!

Just so happens I have ameraucana babies..so maybe there is a cockeral with your name on him.

Oh yeaaa! Thank you Chickielady!
Just got home and was greeted by yet another chick that had hatched while I was gone! But thankfully one was zipping so our whole family huddled around the 12 x14 window on the hatcher and watched as it hatched! Very cool for all!
So we have 3 out but no pips. Should the others be pipping at the same time? tomorrow is 21 so I'm not going to worry.

So I have a big Q to ask... Just found one looks like it is pipping waydown past the air sack area in the bottom 1/3 of the egg. Is this normal?
Ok... I'm calm now and looked again and it's actually pipping about 1/2 way down the egg. Still, is that ok?

Before I go sils screen the last batch of shirts, are there any last minute T-shirt folks?

I have 2 XL left, one dark pink, one yellow,
3 M left, one yellow & 2 lime.

I'm returning them to the store if there are no takers.

Just bathed 14 birds for Monroe- 10 Polish, 4 araucana. 2 males that LIVE TOGETHER nonetheless decided to pick at each others' splendid crests just during the time they were confined in a crate while I was bathing someone else. Grrr...
