Well we went to the feed store today and.... I just couldnt wait till the show. A Easter egger, Barred rock, and 5 silkies jumped into the box.

I told my husband that since the silkies come only in straight runs I have to get 5 or 6 and then sell the ones we don't want... He said well If they all turn into girls we will just keep them and if one turns into a boy we might just keep him... this from a guy who didn't want chickens.

Haha, I was at Monroe Farm and Feed this morning too. Somehow ended up with 4 buff orpingtons, 3 welsummers and a blue cochin. If any blue cochins are still there tomorrow, I'm going to have to get my lonely singleton a buddy!

Who all is going to the Cascade Poultry Show?

Anyone know what I can expect to end up paying for a chick/chicks there? I need to know how much money I need to beg daddy for before I leave! Unfortuantly I will be going alone... nearly everyone in my family is sick with something nasty. Not me though!

Okay I hope that there will be enough power outlets. I have the coffee maker, and coffee coming. I have sugar, but no milk. So if anyone has some milk or creamer stuff can you bring it?

Monroe Farm and Feed got in 100 SR Cornish Rock crosses this morning.

I am waiting for a shipment of Cornish X's. The should be here soon. It will be nice to have others around here that are doing meat birds too.
