For any Spokane Co. residents who hang out on this thread, please take a moment to e-mail our county commissioners expressing your support for allowing chickens in residential areas of unincorporated Spokane County. The City of Spokane Valley is hopefully planning to approve loosened restrictions on chicken keeping in the city limits tomorrow at their meeting. Us folks outside the city limits would love to have "legal" chickens too. A chicken advocacy group met with the commissioners recently and felt that they were open to making some changes in the zoning restrictions, but they need to feel like there is broad support for such a change.
