That's like imagining tomatoes growing wild out here. . . Without a greenhouse one cannot even get ripe fruit out here from any nightshade

I could eat salsa verde every single meal

Me too. Id know what to do with them lol.

Scott at Patriot Farms does growing for meat chickens on a consignment kind of deal. He grows them for you on his feed and processes them for you. I tihnk he said he can do 25 to 100 birds at a time for you.

I could eat salsa verde every single meal so I will be a happy camper if they come back on their own. Since you blend them for salsa verde, I just wash and pop them in the freezer for later use. Yum. Summer can't get here fast enough!!!

OK I am going to plant some more & give it more attention this year...I will get seen started as soon as DH gets home.
IF you have a thousand volunteers pop up..give me a call ?
The volunteers will always be stronger to this element & weather, year after year.

Volunteers won't be popping up for a few months which is why they won't have time to ripen fruit.

Ok Chicky, not so good news on the Blue Wheaton Ameraucana eggs. This is the batch where the one exploded. They were due to hatch yesyerday and I only had one hatch. Hoping it's a blue cockerel but really wanted to have some choices. Let me know if you get some extra cockerels from yours. I could trade you the nice one I have from pips and peeps. Also, kind of late but kept forgetting to post but I have some dark cornish in the bator now and another batch on the way. I too only want a roo. The rest are going to my neighbor. Going to mess around with my own version of cornish cross. Sounds like we think alike. But thats all I need is another project! Will it ever end?

I've only got the one chick from my eighteen Brabanter eggs. A number of the chicks in Rainwolf's incubator peeped but didn't pip, too. I hope the Spitzhauben hatch goes better. I'm disappointed. Even if the breeder offers me more eggs, and they have a better hatch rate, I'll end up with a bunch of chicks of different sizes and ages. That makes growing them out more complicated.
