I know of a woman who had a VBAC and her utuerus ruptured and the baby died. It is very risky. You are lucky to have your son.

I had to have my twins c-section because they were transverse(sideways). With the next pregnancy, my OB called the Dr that did my c- to confirm that I would be ok to do a vbac. He said I was good to go. I had 2 vbac's with no complications, thank God. I had no clue there was a risk. It makes my very sorry for those who did have complications.

I suppose many go on to have very normal VBACs, but I still remember working at the hospital and having that information come across my desk that this poor woman lost her healthy baby because of trying a VBAC. I to this day remember this and I cried for her. I could never carry a full term pregnancy...and she lost hers. Sorry, I have had 2 margaritas at the local Mexican food restaurant...I am probably babbling. I just felt so bad for this woman and I remember crying for her (and a little for myself too)...just crying.

I'm a laissez-faire gardener (I let them Darwin-out themselves) -- what I have had good luck with:

pansies, petunias, violas ("johnnyjumpups"), sage, spearmint, thyme, coreopsis, cosmos, kinnikinnick, oregon-grape, lilac, redtwig dogwood, holly, cherry, dwarf apple, lupine, dusty miller, parsley, chrysanthemums, redcurrant, elderberry, snowberry, indian-plum, forsythia, japanese quince

about half of those are natives which "volunteered"

also scotch broom, daisies, dandelions, and himalayan blackberry ... those get pulled up ... with luck the chickens will eat the newest seedlings, once they are outside

FINALLY....some happy news on the thread. I am so glad. How many eggs did you have in the 'bator?

Istarted with 23, tossed some clear and blood rings , then the bator got shut off on accident over night. candled again and tossed a couple more clears and 2 more rings. ended up with 13 in lockdown. I was worried the shut off time might make them late but I just locked them down yesterday so some are still good!

5 out of 23 with a shut off is still very good.
There may be a few more coming.
I just got my first 2 silver ducklings from my blue runners. They are so cute.
waiting for more, but slim chances. More ducklings coming in the mail in 2 weeks.
