The drumming birds at least will only be doing it until they attract a mate. The annoying dogs bark all year round!
The roo I got from RFF does not crow very loud. DH laughs when he tries, he leans in with his ear "Really, that's it? You are the wimpiest roo!" He doesn't crow often ... a few times in the morning, and sometimes during the day, but it's rare. Funny, I only hear him in the daytime when DS is out in the yard. When I am out there, he doesn't bother. He'll make funny clucking noises and come looking for snack hand-outs.
