No we are not coming to Stevenson. As much as it breaks my heart apart. I just can't pull anything together. I can not justify coming down when so many other things need the money more.

whew, my lungs have had a workout today

I sprayed down the coop my neighbor donated to me, with bleach-water

yuk that stinks

since I had to go INSIDE the 4x4x4 coop to spray it --- not much ventilation in there

since it was a nice day (here) --- we set up the screen room again, took the chickens out for some R&R
(they had fun FLYING at each other which they can't do in the brooder)

DH took pix, will see if he can upload to his computer then to BYC

after an hour watching them eat grass and dandelions and bugs (they caught all the flies that landed on the screen)
I got cold, so I bundled them back into the brooder and gave them some fresh 100% medicated feed
(usually they eat a mix of that and 24% game bird starter)

THEN, since the coop had dried out sufficiently, with the sun and a bit of breeze,
I painted the whole inside of it (except for the roof) -- nice offwhite exterior latex

still could smell nothing but the chlorine in my lungs -- but again I was sitting/kneeling inside the coop to paint

tomorrow I will rig a tarp inside on the floor, go get some sand from Wallyworld, fix up a roost board, and let them enjoy a fresh clean floor, an opportunity to dust-bathe, and more room to jump around and fly

I may have to install the ceramic heater, since we won't be frost-free for another couple or three weeks -- will see how they do

Happy day for me. My (step) daughters BF just called to ask my blessing to ask for her hand in marriage.

Her bio father was little more than a SD!!! He is going to ask her this weekend on her B day. He is an awesome guy and we think the world of him.
Now I just have to keep it secret from DW since we want DD to tell her mom, who I know will be very happy.

OK so back to the shed. Time is running out and I only have (at last count) 70 items. But there are some dandy's that I think will be a hit.
