I thought I knew what I was doing today, but then I realized I needed to move some cattle panels around before the bull gets here tomorrow: there's a squishy place between the two hazelnut bushes where the chickens will get out (and I'm surprised Mike's chickens haven't come in!) and I need to rationalize the ones backing up the raspberry patch. So there goes my ration of heavy lifting for the day, especially considering that we're vaccinating and worming my cows today, which may well mean I'm also getting four more cows, since I'm four below my usual load, and there are that many randomly with the group at my sister's house and the main herd down at my BIL's family place. Complicated kind of week, made worse by being so sleep deprived yesterday that I spent a lot of time standing in the middle of the room looking at whatever was in my hands and wondering what it is I was supposed to be doing.
The elder spawn was in E'burg yesterday looking for apartments with his girlfriend; she's still got two and a half or three years to go before she gets her BA. I'm not into talking about my kids' private lives here or anywhere, but I'm OK about everything except Ellensburg: too far away for him to be available in a sudden emergency, and he's been the other sane person in the family for too long for me to be comfortable with him not being in the neighborhood.
DH came home from dropping the younger spawn at work (having one car is complicated, yo!) took his pain meds and went back to bed. I slept in, so I'm just now finishing breakfast and it's attendant festival of Great Big Pills and will have to tiptoe around getting my insulin and getting dressed.
