It is nice but it will have to be almost totally disassembled to get it out the gate.

It would be too wide to transport with out permits so would have to be broke down anyway.

Well I guess I need to look into the show in Elma. Lewis county seems to think anything done at the fair grounds is worth lots of money and that is probably why the show moved to Elma.

Well, this is not the 6-headed chicken, but it does have 2 extra heads and a few bottoms sticking out: These babies are 4-weeks old and very big. Any time I have taken Hannah away from the babies, she freaks out and just has to get back to them. So here is my itty-bitty hen with a few heads and bottoms.

Silly birds.

Forgot to mention: when I went up to the upper gate to meet the new bull, I was surprised to see that my cousin's flock had increased by a whole bunch: what looks like a couple of dozen Golden Comets and BSLs, is my distant appraisal. All I can figure is that someone finally set his wife down and explained the Open Spaces rules to her, or something: she's terrified of cattle and has mentioned more than once that we should get rid of them. Anyway: a yard full of boring, boring chickens, all of a sudden.

My Grandmother (the one with twelve kids) kept banties to incubate all of her eggs, including turkeys: three per hen.

As I said elsewhere: I've raised beef cattle way too long to be comfortable with any animal that can't take care of its own reproduction, and my antifeatherfeet feelings are being overcome by these tales of Cochins and there fierce mothering ability.

(On the other hand, the more I read about Meaties, the more I am confirmed in my assessment of them as vegetables with feathers).

HI all!

Anyone else get the email notice of another show in Elma on June 4th?

This is just a short email message because I was asked to let you all know, Saturday May 28th Larry Urban will be putting on a poultry show called Washington Poultry Fanciers in Chehalis, WA. You may contact Larry Urban for Catalog and Show information at 360-704-0434.
Note: After sending the first email, I got word that this show may have moved to June 4th in Elma. Please contact Larry Urban, I have no knowledge of the ends and outs of this poultry show.
This show has no ties with the Washington Feather Fanciers.
I apologize if you get duplicates of this message; I am sending this message to members of our website as well to reach as many people as I can for the show, Thanks!
Thanks again.
