Oh Im so sorry the wait is hard. Whats going to happen is they will all hatch at once and your going to love it. If not give me a call...

Thanks, Cheri. I'll give them a couple more days, at least.
Five more hours and still nothing.

My DH has the same opinion of nasty white eggs that you do! On Easter, the kids were bummed because they had no eggs to color since ours come pre-decorated, so I went out and bought 2 Austrawhites at the Grange. DH said "NO MORE WHITE EGGS." I'm saying no more chickens - I am up to 45 + hatching eggs!!!! Only 12 are old enough to lay, and 4 of those are broody

I need them all to lay - HUGE demand for eggs here!

Austrawhites should lay a brown egg?

Or am I confused?

The chart at the Grange showed white ... or maybe it was just really pale. If they do lay brown, DH will be happy!

Hey you guys, I need help trying to identify some of these chicks, I was supposed to have more cockerels then pullets, not sure of the breeds, so here goes.....

And last but not least these guys looked just like the little chick that Barnchick has that she called a specked Sussex But, when we got them they called them a "new" breed called the Sagatta??? then when I saw CL's buckeye chick they had the same markings?? I suppose chicks of different breeds have the same markings???
Just wondering?? I think these are the pullets, we had only got 6 pullets and they all looked like these, but, I'm thinking come of the "cockerels" might be she's!!! lol!

Well, it is 4:20 pm.
Our outside day had to be finished.
It is raining so hard.
As soon as the rain hit all the chickens made a mad dash for the coop.
Hannah is starting to leave the kids. She is tired of mothering - 5 weeks is a long time to stuff 5 babies (almost bigger than her) under her wings.
Took out a huge - dead limb off of our willow tree. We let the chickens eat the leaves and blooms off it. They had a good time.
I got my celery and lettuce transplanted and covered so birds don't eat it. Peas are breaking ground and potatoes are too. Things are looking good.
Still raining like...well, that perverbeal cow.

To be honest I do hope some of them are pullets! I may cull them later if they don't turn out, most of these guys were supposed to go to freezer camp, I don't know!! LOL
