pettec 63 I can't do one here right now, because I will be in Idaho in 3 weeks for the summer. But its only about 3 1/2 hours for you. Someone from Tri-Cities is driving up. If you really want to come, I have room at my house for a few campers or trailers or tenters.
Just let me know

I wish- I'd have to take them home on the 67 bus...

I wish I could have one too, then I wouldn't have to go home and build one.

omg!! how cute, sorry about the boys!!! it's nice they recognized you isn't it???

mixed feelings there - it's sweet they recognize me, but it made me feel all that more guilty because they trusted me and I betrayed them. I got rid of 2 more cockerals earlier this week, but since they were not friendly, it did not bother me. They had a good (short) life

My 2 Exhibition Black Orpingtons are definitely boys, It will be hard getting rid of them unless I know they will be going as pets.

I just don't know how you guys take such cute pics!!

and some are so tired their little eyes are closed and they rest their beaks on the rim of the basket! but, i can't get my camera to take a decent picture without glare!!! dang it, That is a tough on with the boys, check this out, so.... I bought 6 cornish x chicks for freezer camp right? and I have been of course feeding everyone and going into the coop and yard and hanging out and fixing things and I told myself, I will not get attached to the cornish or the mixed cockerels cause they are all going to freezer camp right??? .......guess which are the first ones to follow me around and plop themselves down by my feet!!! REALLY !!!!

I don't want to get attached to my food!!! that's why I keep them separate!!! Anyway, it's a work in progress!!!

The problem with my husband is that he is recovering from back surgery (the surgical orders started "T1 to pelvis") and is not comfortable on either side for long.

On the other hand, diabetics do best with regular...well, regular everything is good, but regular sleep is right up there with regular meals and exersize. So the nights I can't wake him up and get him off his back are bad for me in many ways.

Heh: also, between posting the first and second time I have acquired a second Hamburg egg; either one of the other hens is laying too or the one I picked up was from yesterday.

Waiting for my fourth load of laundry to get done spinning so I can put a final load in and go paint the coop interior; I decided that using exterior semi-gloss and a roller was going to be ever so much less annoying! It took me a long time to get started today, finally did the unthinkable and had a nap, but the sky is clabbering up to rain and there's a ring around the sun and a cap on the mountain.

darn, you are right, the brilliant blue sky is now streaked with white --- I better get out there and get the tarps over the crate/coop; have been waiting for it to dry out completely before I did that but .....

chooks were enjoying the chicken tractor today, a bold house sparrow landed near them and they moved into what looked like PREDATOR mode, all set to peck the blasted thing to death, though they couldn't quite make it through the chicken wire

must have been all the leftover chicken-carcass goodies that got them going ....

guess I better shepherd them back into the run too, pretty soon -- came in mostly for a biffy break

watch out for a new Trojan type worm on the net, it almost got me, a friend's email included a link that I clicked on; luckily my antivirus blocked it

UGH

much prefer the earthworms; the chicks do too

The weather guys said today would be warmer than yesterday, but not here, breezy, almost windy, and cool...ugh, I do not want more rain.
I planted Mr. Monster pumpkin, about 4 days ago in the hoop house.
At that time Mr.Monster Pumpkin was in a 1/2 gallon pot, and his "arms" were a mere 10" long.
Today he popped out of the hoop hut, and while I watched, his giant tendrils grabbed a stake outside the hoop house.
That was an hour ago, probably has his entire 3-8" tendril hands completely wrapped around & around the stake.
There is no containing him any longer, as he is free now, hope the weather stays warm enough for him...or her.
Gotta go get ready for rain, I guess:(
