wish I had been reading instead of writing, Julia; I could have met you at the cemetery, it's just down the road from our place; and I have lilacs that didn't get mashed to pieces (partially sheltered by hedge evergreens)
also a couple of my Lord cousins are buried in that cemetery (Serepta Jane ! love that name) --- distant cousins, but .... one of their descendants lives down Johnson Creek Rd, met her while messing with genealogy; another couple of Maine Lord cousins in the area (though my gran's family moved Maine > Montana > Oregon )
I think Yelm Farm & Pet is where DH got the chicken wire for the chicken tractor -- we disassembled the old donated one and between the chicken wire that came off that, and the leftovers from the new tractor, I think I have a complete roof covering for the chicken run
I haven't hung the chainlink fencing yet, nor wired in the hardware-cloth doubler; I think I'm going to need more hardware cloth, see if I can score some from garage sales or off Craigslist
I also flexed my muscles and dragged the 7 foot square plywood piece out from under the brambles -- will let it dry out and see if it can be a "porch roof" for the crate-coop and small coop --- I didn't get the shingle pile out yet -- that will have to wait until the underbrush dries out a bit; I'd drown in there right now
