I still so love your avatar. I want a baby Hoss. I was thinking it would be fun to name my orpington babies after Gunsmoke characters (Hoss- like you did) but could not think of any girl names from the show.

I have some going to hatch this weekend. I am sure there will be a couple roosters in there...as usual lol.

Ah, man you are so mean. I hatched out some orpington eggs (I think I talked with you about them). I was going to keep the 1 black roo that hatched. You told me (if I remember correctly) that there are American and European versions of orpingtons? And that the European versions are more "fluffy"? Am I remembering this correctly? Hoss is a "fluffier" version. Right?

This is so tempting. But I just dont' have the space. I really like the opringtons and I am going to continue working forward on this bird. I like the dual purpose.

I have 2 black orpington rooster from CGG, they are only 4 months old now, but they are HUGE like turkeys, gorgeous irridescent feathers, calm and friendly. They are crowing now (only in the mornings or when a strange car pulls in the driveway) and one tries to mount the Autraloprs hen, but she wants nothing to do with him. I was not going to keep them, but then I saw them eat slugs, rodents, and blackberry bushes! WooHoo!

I may have to get rid of one in the future, or if someone wants one for their flock (not their dinner plate), I can give them one. Right now they are pals and all 4 orpingtons wander the yard together.

I can't believe none of ya called me on this. I did it just to see what would happen. Well maybe I have rambled on here so much that nobody really pays much attention.

I really hope I am the only one that is enjoying the severe effects of (hayfever type) allergies. Not that I enjoy it but hope nobody else is going through this. My nose is nearly constantly dripping and then there are the sneazes that take me off my feet and leave me eggshausted by the end of day. I haven't had it this bad since I stopped getting shots 12 years ago.

I saw the 'errors' but I didn't think it was my place to point them out. And I refuse to take this as permission to do so in the future either. There is no tone of type here so it is very easy for things to be taken the wrong way. Maybe I'm being overly careful, but so be it.

Fog

Well FYI don't eggspect me to return the favor.

and EGGSPECT others to do same to me. That is why we use SMILIES to show feelings.

We pay attention. Evidently, it was just kind of collectively commented on. I read it and thought ....awww cute. DH and I went fishing last Sunday, on upper Conconully. At the far end of the lake (DH's favorite fishing spot) there were two momma ducks with an entire passel of babies. They were so cute. Wonder how many were eaten by bass?
