Been a busy week. My boss is out of the country in one of the land of "stan" that starts with a K.
so i been working alot.
had to toss alot of dead eggs last night for lockdown of some of my eggs.... out of 24 i have 12 (and this is iffy) that have made it to lockdown and only one is a golden cukoo marans, 5 blue birchern marans and the remaining are the partridge penedenscas. today at the farmers market i sold 2 more of my mutt chicks... that make for 12 chicks sold so far.

more eggs arrived and i forgot what they were because they were unlabled....
I now have Cayuga duck eggs! now how do I incubate them with my chicken eggs? my humidity is 45-55% on average 47% because I am incubating and hatching at the same time.
Any advice on hatching duck eggs?
all arrived not broken from shipping... i will candle them tomorrow night to see if the air cell's have stabilized.

They came out perfect, thanks! 4 min on one side less than 3 on the other, cooked on the outside, red in the middle, just like I like it! Very tender because of the marinade, leftover from what I made to season the asparagus the other day. (soy sauce, hot chili oil, garlic, toasted sesame oil, pepper, brown sugar, ginger and hot chilli sauce)

I was trying to decide if my favorite dress was still a going-out0to0dinner dress or if it's ready to be demoted to "summer wear after taking an evening shower but not yet ready for nightclothes" dress.

I didn't want to wear my really nice dress because I'm betting we end up at a Mexican place and salsa's heck to get out of silk. That's what I get for buying a dry clean only dress just because it was, like, 85% off.

Ah heck!
You only live once, right ???
Do it wearing silk, it FEELS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!
With or without salsa!!!!!!!!!!!
Silk does wash BTW...the cheap water soluble glue that is used on dry clean only clothes is the culprit.
I will never buy anything I cannot toss in a washing machine, especially if I have to iron it too!!
Life is way too short to spend any more time ironing..I think I have already spent 3 or 4 years of my life JUST IRONING !!!!!!!
Had to do it as a teen, 10 cents a peice, to feed my horses, I took in baskets & baskets of ironing.....

Now I just plug in my iron when I patchwork..way mo'fun!!!!!

Good thing I didn't wear the silk dress: the booths at Cancun Plaza are too low to be graceful, and it's just below the knee.

that's the time you accessorize the dainty dress with a scarf or vest or shawl -- a washable one to catch the drips ....

Yeah: when I started thinking about getting dressed, it was still 74F out here, and muggy; I didn't think I'd be wearing a jacket.

We are waiting for the guys to get back so we can have dessert.

Oh, I did, just called a friend to help me get a grip. Her SO is a wildlife officer for the Forestry department up by Mt. Vernon.

I could just see him (DS) shoot a bear with a paintball! He was on foot in the woods when he saw the elk.

edited to make some sense of what I wrote
