I borrowed these from the Widerness Rim HOA website, that neighborhood is next to ours.

I was trying to decide if my favorite dress was still a going-out0to0dinner dress or if it's ready to be demoted to "summer wear after taking an evening shower but not yet ready for nightclothes" dress.

I didn't want to wear my really nice dress because I'm betting we end up at a Mexican place and salsa's heck to get out of silk. That's what I get for buying a dry clean only dress just because it was, like, 85% off.

that's the time you accessorize the dainty dress with a scarf or vest or shawl -- a washable one to catch the drips ....

Unfortunately, I am no help in the "dress up" department. I just glamour up my jeans and tennis shoes. Course there are not many dress-up places here in Omak anyway.

Except Wal-Mart and we all know how that works!

In our local "party print" there was an ad for Icelandic flock: "Price negotiable" (no clue)...but phone # is: 556-2069

Isn't this one of the kind you were wanting to get? Just thought I would pass on the information.

Your son is lucky he didn't run into it. A paintball gun wouldn't have done him much good.

We used to have paintball competitions - fights - with soime friends. What a blast. I got shot up quite a few times. I figured it was the only time I could legally "shoot" my husband and get away with it.

The area we were "playing" we more than once ran into a bear. Just left it alone. No reason to tick it off.

If yo think one of these dogs took your chicken you need to tell them.

No - they came shortly after and were leashed. I think it is possible the bear took the chickens. The hens were at a new compost pile I started in the orchard. Bears frequent my orchard when it is in fruit. I did not think they'd come now! I don't know if a bear took the chicken or my neighbor's dog. I was assuming it was dog until I was told the bear dogs were outside sniffing.

LOL...If I get a photo up on the Wal*Mart photo shame web site...I will know who took it....hmmmm, Heather?

Well, my sick chick has made a full recovery. Gong to leave her in the house a couple more days, especially since it is raining and cold out. I bellieve she either got over heated in the sudden heat we had or maybe dehydrated as she could not "find' the water bowl. I opened up their little coop into their own little run and left the water in the coop to encourage them to return....may not have drank all day as she could not figure out how to get back in? who knows. The night I brought her in she was dying. I told DD not to expect her to be alive in the morning. This is the only reason I used non-sterile water for subq fluids. The next day I got a monojet syringe and some dextrose at the clinic - after talking with our vet. stuffed as much of this in her as I could. Pretty touch and go for a while. But each day she has improved and this morning she is up and alert and I soaked a piece of bread in some electrolyte water and she GREEDILY ate it up. She also drank from the water water bowl (electrolytes in it).
