I do hope that DH changes his mind. Maybe he will calm down and will understand and let you keep everyone. How much harder is it to feed/water one more pen of a few birds. I just don't think it is. . Also, use the hormones as an excuse and also what I always say: This is my one hobby that I really have time to do - let me have it. YOU (my DH) has - archery, fishing, motorcycles - which he does all of regularly.
Please note that I PMd you
Yeah...he seems to be a little bit better today...he went fishing with his dad this morning...caught three fish (he caught two, his dad the other one)--for a total of 17lbs after they were filleted! He's over at his parents' house now, helping his dad pull out a bunch of juniper bushes. I saw that you'd PM'd me along with a few others....I just haven't had time to respond yet....but I will.
I am really glad to hear that DH has calmed down. Maybe he will come around and let you keep your birds - for me, my birds are my point of relaxation. Every night, every morning....I go out and watch them, clean up, feed. I find it very therapeautic and relaxing. Tell DH that your birds are your therapy. And they are paying for themselves. AND....if he lets you have really nice Coops then they will not be an eye sore.
PM me when you get time. No problems. I would rather you got to keep your projects.

wont ever catch me paying that much for a chicken that could fall over dead because it wanted to, or get eaten by the neighbors dog... no way jose!
All their prices are way way way too high.
I sent them a e-mail about ordering Cream Legbars last Decmber..I had a X-mas gift of some cash to spend...and they never responded..
Ok enough of my rant !!!
Had a wad of SQ Black Javas hatch out
and only 1 Nankin
Little dude is 1/4 the size of the Java Chicks & so adorable.
I can see now that I will be carrying this one tiny bird around in a purse like...AN OLD LADY with a FOO FOO DOG!!!!!!!

Frantically searching for that piece of mail that had the address of an austra farmer in north bend. Yes there it is. And how do I love the sattelite view of map quest. Shows me the easiest way to the coop.
I finally got my lawn mowed! WOO HOOO! Yes,in the DARK!
Got the John Deere out of the mud around 7pm, backed it (more like slid on it) down the hill. Not including the orchard which is nearly waist deep now and has a mud moat around it so no lawn tractor can get near, I got the yard about 80% complete when I ran out of gas, so I sent DD to get me some and it was 9:58 when I finally completed it and walked into the house! Luckily the tractor has a nice bright headlight on it!
On another note DS is actually sad that it was his last day of school today. For the first time ever, he enjoyed going to school. DD is always sad, but not because of the schoolwork; she attends for social reasons.
I've got 2 ratzappers set out by the coops now, so how many dead rats will I have in the morning?
So after 2 days of racking my brain to use the chain link panels in the most efficient way, this is what I ended up with.
2 of the crates will have 2 separate areas in them to keep the breed separate. That will give me four different breeds.
The first pen will have a cover over the curved bars which will be dry area for the first 1/2 of the coop. The 2nd pen will have under the crate for dry area. The 3rd and 4th pens will be that in reverse.
Still need to insulate, side and paint the coops. The roofing which was given to us by a friend because we let him borrow our tractor, still needs to be put up.
And as far as the converted dog house, which also needs to be sided and painted, I think that might be for the bantams.
