Actually there is a good chance he is a SHE and looking for a home. See this time of year all the bumbles are queens and when ya see em buzzing around they are probably looking for a place to set up house keeping.

Not sure if it is the mouse version of the rat zapper but I got an electronic mouse trap at Walmart. They go in and touch 2 metal contacts and it shocks them. Works very well for mice.

I'm gonna look for that! I know ours are probably deer mice

We have 3 barn cats, add in the dog and the only mice/voles/moles found here are dead ones.

Ok, I will admit to being one of those people.

I did that once because of how I had the latches on my doors. I had the swingy part on the door and the little sticky out part on the side. The door shut hard and the hinged part swung around and latched and I couldn't open it. Nobady was home and I didn't have my cel phone on me. I basically had to kick the door a few time really hard to bust it open, but it scared me and I switched the latches around post haste! Lesson learned. Never Again!

The day my daughter returned home from college she was quite excited because she hadn't met the chickens yet so she went to visit them before I ahd gotten home from work. I forgot to tell her the latch was on the outside though and she closed the door tight behind her. She soon realized she was stuck in the coop without a cell phone and it would be at least 3 hours before anyone would be home. She finally figured out to unweave a small section beside the latch so she could wrangle her fingers through and open the door. She told me she was afraid she would just fall unconscious onto the dirt in the coop and I'd find her there. I told her it was good she didn't because the chickens would have eaten her.
