speaking of DE, I got a 40 lb bag (says food quality right on the bag) at Big R, yesterday, for $16.95.

I paid something like $10 for 1 or 2 lbs here at the local feed store in a cute little bag. For me I can't beat this price. I bet you on the wet side can better this price...but I am happy with it (until I find better)

Oh what about older babies/toddler who has a blow out at night and then uses this for finger painting....Yep, had that one hapen. This was the most disgusting thing ever.

Our middle son did not need to have a blow out for that. He would suck his thumb and the other hand would do an Al Bundy (Hand in the front). We did break him of putting his hand down the front of his diaper, he move his hand to the back and that was very hard to break. He painted just about everything. It is very hard to clean it off window blinds.

This is so scary for me to read.
A friend of mine's daughter (24)...had something irritating and painful on her arm - it looked like a bug bite. She went to the clinic..they told her it was a mosquito bite and to go home. The next day it was worse with worse symptoms...she went to the local ER. Local ER said this is too much for us, shipped her to Wenatchee. Wenatchee says this is too much for us...Flew her to Harbor View. The poor girl....it was a bite from a Brown Recluse. She lost her arm (had to amputate it) and she is still in critical condition. A dumb bug bite - itis too much for me to understand how a little spider has altered this young woman's life so dramatically....that is if she even lives.

So sorry to hear. Hope all works out and that your brother is able to get some extended time to be there.
Will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Not fair:
1. Baby sick
2. Dad having to leave while baby so sick.
Not fair.

According to the "experts " we don't have brown recluse in WA. Bull. I was 18 and got bit on the wrist. Within 8 hrs I had a quarter size necrotic green spot. Multiple skin grafts and surgical debridement and now I have just an eraser size scar.I know I was lucky. Ironically it was Halloween and I was on a date with my now ex husband, which ended in the q

Ugh. I hate even hitting 70. I've been sick so not had good control. Like hit 531 after a ton of fast acting insulin. ER trip for that one

I'm in good control, but have been doing so much physical work this week that I've been having really low fastings and have had to cut back on insulin. And I've been needing a bit of something before lunch for weeks, which is why I didn't have anything here except Altoids, which are NOT what one wants on an empty stomach.

I'm glad to hear the baby's surgery went well; I was trying to find the number of the person I used to be church aquaintences with who worked in the Chaplain's office at JBLM for you but they've apparently retired/been reassigned.
