Traffic here is usually not bad at all, unless you come through at the start of a holiday weekend and the place is filled with RV's! I never thought to check the grange for canning supplies. I'll call them in the morning.

Or I may go to the other side of the Mtns and pick up some apricots while I'm there. I found great prices at "Yokes", but the closest Yokes is in Kennewick or Spokane.

Where is Winco? Are they related to Wall Mart? If so, DH won't be happy if I go there.

Winco is, according to my daughter, who knows ALL about them (ask hallerlake what it's like when my daughter knows ALL about something
lol.png
), a west coast chain, not related to Windixie. *I* won't shop Wallyworld, so your husband and I are in accord on that one. Winco's the new big thing around here, and have a grand bulk section and really good prices on lamb, according to my sources.

One other source you might look into for pectin and flats and rings is Vermont Country Store online. I wouldn't buy jars from them, the shipping would eat you alive, but they used to have good prices on canning supplies.

I used to buy holiday candy from them (VCS) because they have stuff I can't find anywhere else. Then I gave up candy. I think it needs a come-back. I looked for Winco - Renton or Everett, not sure what is closer, probably Renton. I'll need another reason to go down or I'll eat up the saving in gas!

Any intrest in meeting at the North Bend Farmer's market this Thursday? The band is Bottle Rockit. They play from 6-8. Market starts at 3:30. I usually get there at 5. The market is at Si View Park, it is a beautiful setting, good food, and I am now listening to a sample from the band, and it sounds good.

My DH gave me some spendy chocolates for Christmas. One of the flavors was lavender. Ummm... I have to say that I could not help thinking I was eating soap. Not that it tasted like it but the smell was like my lavender goats milk soap. YUCK! I did not like lavender. Does your Lav. ice cream taste/smell like soap?

I've been posting on Old fashioned Broody and a Stink Eye thread. The stink eyes are hilarious! Most are new member greetings. Been pointing other WA peeps our way! I hadn't realized I had done so much. I guess the rain has been keeping me in doors.

I need to get linoleum in mine. Sounds like the way to go! What about putting it in the brooder? Too slippery?

Looking forward to a visit to CR's on Thursday to pick up the chickies that I abandoned there at least a month or more ago and deliver some prop. tanks that are destined to be pigs! I almost got rid of the dumb things a hundred times and just didn't. Now I glad they can be repurposed!
Gonna get to meet VFog and his DW. Thought I'd bring all 6 of my kids to bug him and a cat for him to take home.

I know how much he likes both! Just kidding!

North bend is a long way to come back in the evening. What about some place more central like Bellevue?
