Turned out to de a pretty decent day because my kids did their chores without complaining too much, I got a lot of birthday wishes from friends, and DH brought me a box of Boehms Chocolates.


Now I'm just waiting for a nice Sunny day - 2 birthday traditions I have not been able to do the past couple of years because of poor weather - My friend and I usually head out to Rattlesnake Lake with a bottle of wine, swim out to one of the giant tree stumps that is in inch or three under the surface where we stop to share the wine, and I also like to watch the Persied Meteor Shower - I live in a great place for seeing them when the weather cooperates. I don't know if I can do the stumpmthis year - that lake is awfully cold from all the snow! Maybe I will have to take my canoe, but that is not as fun.

Quick update.
Almost done with the midwest part of the trip- will be heading to the Bay Area tomorrow night. Very busy. We were very fortunate to see my G-pa as he died Monday. We are so glad he waited until we were able to say goodbye. Had a wonderful baby shower on Sunday- just shipped out the stuff today and will arrive next week via UPS. Also did the 3D ultrasound of baby. A bit odd but happy my family got to 'bond' with him since I don't live close by.
Sending good thoughts to RFF. Happy B-day Ogress.

okay, I'm heading for bed if I need to be awake enough for T Hi to pick me up at 8:30 in the morning

hope you feel strong, CR, because this sucker I am bringing is HEAVY !

I plopped it on a piece of cardboard and DRAGGED it up to the house from the north end of the property --- oh say, a hundred feet; still another 30 or 40 feet to go but DH will be there to help

may have more propane tanks later on; the fellow who bought our old Airstream, didn't take those with him; that's one reason I am so tired now, I wasn't expecting him to drag it off today, so I had to unload all the stuff we had stored in it
