Ogress I commented on 2 of your posts in a row. I am sorry I am not "picking on you " just that I saw things I couldn't resist commenting on. Sorry I will just STHU and mind my own business.

Good to know! Wish the deer would stop eating my tomato plants! This is the first year they have done so, and there is plenty of other stuff for them to eat! They love our fallen apples and are welcome to them. We are gonna have a bumper crop this year! Lots of applesauce coming up!

Hubby is working his tail off today on the run after fishing for salmon all morning. There is a huge run in the Puyallup River right now. Caught his limit od four quickly. Too bad we don't like it! He sent it all home with his friend.

Wow here is a little bit of worthless info that I just looked at and found interesting. My first post here on the WA thread was on 3/28/09 at that time the WA thread had a whopping 938 yes nine hundred thirty eight posts. And now tonight it has a mere 45763.

Speaking of tomatoes, how are anyone's tomato plants doing? Mine, being in the greenhouse, are at an average 6 feet tall, and producing some DELICIOUS fruit. Shown below is a plate of "Paul Robeson" slices. Very smoky, earthy flavor. Today I had a sandwhich complete with spinach, cheese, ham, and a Pineapple tomato, which literally had hints of pineapple flavor in it.

Beautiful dogs, are they easily trainable?

They're pretty smart, but have their stubborn moments. They're a goofy breed, very very social and friendly, but the two are quite different. They're from different lines and different regions of Africa and definitely show it. The female is very mellow and loving, but she's also both very intelligent (and athletic!!) and thick skulled at the same time. The male is sweet, but a little more lively and not quite so "I want to just sit by you" however if he gets in trouble, he just doesn't understand any form of punishment. It's all just a game to him. They naturally require some dominant/alpha owners. The female though is very, very sensitive about punishment.

We'll be doing Schutzhund work with both of them. (attack/protection training)
