If CR really feels like swiping a chicken, here's the one which is surplus to my needs:

P1020014-Version3.jpg

This is, to my eye (which is usually considered to be good on these sorts of things: ten years of every possible kind of 4H judging competition does that to a person) the best of the three cockerels I was holding when it comes to leg, hackle and saddle color and comb form. They all three sort of typify the crankier members of the Wyandotte Board's complaints about BLRWs needing work on Wyandotte body style, one way or another, and since he's full brother to two out of three of my hens and Ian, although also a splash, has darker blue lacing and body feathers, this is the one who needs to go away. Preferably soon: I've got cockerels crowing on three sides of the house and road noise on the fourth (leave us not mention the still-unoiled squeaky swing and screaming children).

Anyhow, presented for your approval: the formal portrait of the alpha roo from that pen of four.

I still say Im not worried! You may be our resident Chicken Rustler, but I still doubt that coming WAY up to N. Kitsap to rustle one small flock would be worth the trip.

Then again... If I keep picking on you about it, you might just do it outta spite!

One thing you would like about my flock... NO white large eggs! The silky lays white eggs, and I have no clue what the other two bantams will lay...

NO NO NO Silkie's lay CREME color. That's the only reason I can have one.

OH Is THAT what you call that color!?

Ok then. I will make sure I correct myself when speaking about the evil little silkys eggs.

And Im not kidding when I call her evil! Completely oposite of what everyone says about silkys. She's mean, and would try to eat me if she was bigger!

O but you have spilled the beans MINI AND DRAFT SHOES, tug boat port window, mooring chains, pier spikes etc etc. Dont count yer chickens safe.

Oh come on! lol My family is filled with fisherman, mechanics, and who knows what else! lol We tend to be collecters of odd items... I do not have minis or drafts. So dont use that as a guide to my house. lol I have no boats, am not waterfront. Just have stuff. lol

I never sadi I was gonna use the trail of those to find yer place. I prefer that they not be attached to anything. Easier to grab em and run. Thinking this may be a bigger truck and trailer trip. Stuff lots of unsecured stuff OOOO yeah gonna be a great trip of night vision.

I've heard of that before (mean Silkie hens)

Oh she is horible! She growles, does this deep little bark, that I would never think would come from a chicken... She makes the most awfull noises when she's not happy. lol And screams! Good grief! When I brough this silky home I had no idea she would be an evil little monster.

Before your son leaves, have him sneak over one dark night with an oil can.

I have this fantasy where I win the lotto and offer them 10% above market, cash, for their house, live in it long enough to get this soggy cardboard box down and an improved craftsman bungalow built on the footprint, and then rent the place to nice quiet friends and/or relatives.

Paving my driveway comes in their somewhere, too.
