What cute little chubby cheeks,I bet it's hard to resist giving them a kiss every time you pick her up. she's holding up her head now?
They grow so fast.
I know--she's getting more chubby every day!
She actually was holding her head up when she was just a day old. It was pretty freaky...we'd go to burp her and she'd raise her head up and look you in the eye!

I may be coming on time but with kids - if so, let's try to park ourselves near the play area.
Whaddaya think of this coop? It's made with red cedar, IIRC. Not sure I like the metal roof, but overall it's a nice setup and the right size. The coop is walk-in from the back as well as inside. Nesting boxes are inside (would be extra $ for external ones). The price is a little painful though. I swear, I cannot find a coop and run anywhere near what I had hoped to pay. *sigh*
I think you might like the metal roof if it snows!!! $900 seems like a lot. don't buy anything yet. I have some idea's. lets talk on Thur. when we all meet for coffee

Yes possibly, but not until early spring probably. My most recent hatch (12 wks old now) ended up with two blue BLRW cockerels (and two splash if anyone wants one?). I sold one of the blue and plan to keep the other. I also have a black BLRW cockerel who hatched in Feb I think? I plan to do at least one breeding with him, maybe two and then he will be available if you would like him. I do go back and forth on him though wether or not he is true black or very very dark blue. I should know more after I breed him. I should do one hatch from him with just my splash hens to see if the chicks are all blue. Then we will know for sure he is black. Actually, that is what I will do. If the chicks are not all blue, then I will probably want to do a second hatch with him as I am after as many blue chicks as I can get. I currently have 5 hens/pullets of laying age, 4 of which are splash, one a very light blue. In my most recent hatch, I have only one pullet, and I am hoping
that she is a light blue, but she may also be a splash. I will have to post some pics soon. I will definently let you know when he is available though.
I am not, in fact, in any particular hurry right now, mostly because it's been such a long haul getting work done on coops, and because if anything else the last 365 days have cured me forever of impatience: the next few hours will be the anniversary of the slowest and most miserable 47 hours of my adult life, when my husband was in the CCU waiting for the secong half of his back surgery.
My DH colon ruptured that was one of the worse things happen till he ended up with Acute Myiloid lekemia he is now in remission from that.
I am in Missouri, I'll be back in the Claw in December for Christmas.
Oh, and I stole all your nice 70 degree weather. It's BEAUTIFUL here!
