I have bought the 6 ml too for a few years now for other purposes and it is just as bad as the painting stuff, Not good for greenhouses anymore. Glad to see you have given up on it as greenhouse material!

It has always worked before, but no more.
I ordered the green house stuff, 12 ml (I think) reinforced with fiber & Uv safe from a green house place.

Well, it's still windy here but the greenhouse is still up and good. I just need to seal the bottom, and sometime when the storm ends, I need to get my neighbor out again and build a good door. Need to be prepped for the worst!

Popping in for a post before we run off to shop in the big city of Aberdeen.

Hope all is well.
We have been busy doing the underlayment (Luanan ) on the house floor, then had to tarp it for the rain.
After the rain, we will untarp & fill any gaps, glue & roll down the flooring.
So while it lightly rains, we go visit my parents & get our marketing done.
I have made 3 cases of apple butter in the last week, takes 2-3 days in the slow cooker, adding apples every so often as they cook down, + lemon juice, cinnemon and sometimes nutmeg YUUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!
Sure makes the cabin smell good!

Dawng, Love the pictures of your new chicks! I can't believe how quickly they grow and change. At 3 weeks, ours are feathering out and changing every day. I took about 100 photos of them at the beginning of the week, narrowed that down several times and ended up editing about 35 of them. I tried using my iPad to edit photos for the first time which was kind of interesting but I see a problem trying to transfer them to a larger computer afterwards. So I ended up with much fewer than I had edited but wanted to show Candy how they're feathering out.
I'll try to load some of the others later. I've got a couple pics of my Golden Retriever watching them very closely. He is fascinated by them and gets so excited when they're out but I watch him carefully so he doesn't get too enthusiastic.
Whitey is looking pretty bedraggled these days but she's active and eating so I'm not sure what else I can do for her. The chicks want nothing to do with me though. If I try to feed them from my hand Whitey insists on taking whatever I have and dropping it for the chicks with the cluck and "tap tap, eat this kids". So I'm hoping that when the babies are a little older and she has less to do with them that I can get closer. I want them to be friendly for whatever family they end up with.

No, I have not eaten any yet.
I am building the flock yet.
I DO have the Dark Cornish over several white rock pullets & plan to hatch their eggs from time to time for raising meat birds.
That is just one project.
We have raised & butchered 28 Cornish Rocks so far and they are awesome tender, juicy and great for bar- be -que to soup.
After I hatch more Buckeyes I may raise any cockerals for the table, but it will be spring..and I will have to make a "Bachelor pad" like Illia did.
