The Merlot is always a good choice...my personal favorite....but have you ever looked into the biodenticels? (sp) I am on it and it has changed my life. It helps me tremendously. After some adjusting and fooling with I think we are getting the right dosage and flavor (I am on progesterone)..don't need the estrogen.

But never give up on the Merlot.

Hey, send me the name of the Rx & dose, OK?
I will ask my doc!

A regular - "across the counter" - MD may not really be studied up on this. Providers specializing in Women's Health Care tend to know a bit more. Google Biodentical. I am on Progesterone. They are considered compounds that are made for your body. There are only a few pharmacy's that "make"/"produce"/ "mix" it. The one in Moses Lake (509-764-2314) and I think in Idaho or Montana. I get it mailed to me. You may want toi call the Professional Pharmacyin Moses Lake and ask them regarding a provider in your area whom you could talk to. I really like it...I have been on it for a couple of years now and it has helped my hot flashes and night sweats. Oh, and mood swings are a bit better (don't ask DH this though).

I planted the four 3 gallon Western red cedars I got from the city. The city also gave me four Treegator jrs. The rain has penetrated a little further down than last time I dug a hole out back, but it's still bone dry six inches down. I didn't think I'd be using those treegators until June, but I'm thinking I need them for a few weeks after all.

I'll try to call her tomorrow- today I was gone when it's most likely to find her home, and not too brilliant when I was home- bad night last night, nothing worked for hip pain, nowhere near enough sleep.

I thought that I had fully wet soil by now, but while Malvina was out yesterday she dug two holes where there was dry sand at about six inches.

Which reminds me: I need to do some shovelling tomorrow.

Your laced birds are so beautiful! And the goose with the feather 'skirt' is like no goose I've ever seen, wow! So pretty!

Thanks. The laced birds are young silver laced wyandottes, and the curly feathered goose is a sebastopol. Definitely cool geese, but my favorite are the toulouse. Jbear took a picture of me with my Toulouse at Stevenson as I was walking her across the parking lot from Champion Row back to the rest of the goose pens. They just have a very laid back disposition.

Most of the saxonies in the picture are in the freezer, donated a pair in the Spring to the APA semiannual breeders auction,.. have the best pair left and will probably bring them to Chehalis to sell.

Re: Dry soil, I have been digging post holes for the new goat and chicken shed this week, and 2' down it is dry all the way under the surface soil. This is just north of Cusick.

What are you paying in your areas for laying mash?

Just curious, ours comes from Colville mill and its much higher then what it is in MI. I am considering going back to my own mix.

My layer crumble just went up to 12.50 a 50# bag, cracked corn was 12.50 50#,chick grow medicated 13.00 for 50# and game bird was 14.00 a 50# I buy by the ton and no tax. Dels is pricy like 16.00 a bag for 50 layer

What about the silkie & call duck set ups????????????????
Y'all into showing??
let 's see your coops, your cleaning, your birds...

I've posted my pens before, I don't know where the pics are at this moment... All the silkies are in my shop in 5x10 or 5x12 foot pens. I have a metal stackable brooder and horse troughs for brooding. My geese and ducks are outside and I use electric poultry netting.

I use shavings as bedding over concrete.

I had questions on raising silkies, if you raised on wire to keep their feets clean?
I am also interested in alot of "spa" items I have seen people use at shows, sprays to increase feather sheen & condition and so on...
